I'm conflicted about the Bible. Will you discuss it with me?

Lets say if your life is going to be meaningful, you have about 80 yrs to obtain that 'goal'. Being religious during that time is moot as prayers requests are usually for things that can't be delivered, not that the request is unreasonable, it's just too early for rewards.

That's a perfectly good argument against religion.

Atheists can have a meaningful life, that doesn't mean it is going to be more meaningful than a person who is religious. I know lots of people who aren't religious and the religious ones I know don't 'have it better' as far as 'meaningful'.

Did my life have meaning before I started reading the Bible, sure, does it have more now, not really. Just one topic to talk about.

Or any less, either.

But you are the one that implied that a doctor's life has more meaning than someone who has nothing. That's flat out crap.
I've seen people that have lost everything except their lives in housefires, yet some of those people have actually been grateful simply because they are still alive.
We have a friend who is a photojournalist who has been to El Salvador when Reagan was pulling his crap over there. And even under severe oppression and hardship, people still managed to have happy times and have meaningful lives.

You want to do a Bible Study? Fine
Wut?

I assume that is your personal case rather than a general statement.

No wonder you gave up reading texts that require the mind be accurate in what it 'thinks' the words say. I said my fathers life would have had more meaning if you could have become a Vet. No crap about it, I was there, I know, you weren't there so all you are doing is, ..... trolling as the question has been answered before.

WTF does that have to do with a meaningful life. There are lots of people who have almost nothing but their breath, is their life in a hospital a meaningful life? (by your standards and then by their standard as if you were the one that hospital bed. That is starting to go down the road of someone saying to a homeless man, get a job and buy a house.

We have a friend who is a photojournalist who has been to El Salvador when Reagan was pulling his crap over there. And even under severe oppression and hardship, people still managed to have happy times and have meaningful lives.
By your standards? Anybody ask them what they thought of their 'quality of life' situation?

Doesn't BS stand for Bible Study?

Well, nothing is stopping you from assuming anything. You do it often enough.

Short memory? You commented about doctors, lawyers, and some other brand of people having more meaningful lives than starving kids a while back. That implied that having a life of wealth was more meaningful than not. So who's the one trolling? Who's the one that has comprehension problems? What's more, you assumed you knew what my life has been like while being nearly completely ignorant of it. And the only book you seem to consider worth reading is the Bible. And it's evident, because your grasp of science is woeful.

You're the one making assumptions and implying from ignorance. Now you've been trying to swap arguments in the conversation.
Go chew some more 'shrooms or whatever you get high on. Not everyone's memory is as screwy as yours.

By your standards?
Nope. By their standards. You think just because people are poor and oppressed they don't enjoy parts of their lives? Whatta maroon.
Anybody ask them what they thought of their 'quality of life' situation?
Yes. Our photojournalist friend did. It's his business to document the lives of people from other cultures. DUH

Doesn't BS stand for Bible Study?
It can but not in this instance. I'm referring to what you spew in these forums ....... bullshyte.

In your opinion and it may come as a shock to you but that means SFA to me and probably to the rest of the world.

You mean the 1% crowd? Think they give a **** about those 'below' them?
Are you saying money will decrease a person's chance of having a 'meaningful life'?
Trolling = you
Comprehension problems, you are the one looking back at previous posts, that would seem to clarify that issue.
Ignorant of your life, good and I intend to keep it that way.
Do you want to cover everything I read in a Bible thread?

This have a point? The only one I get is this is the end of our conversation. Might as well end it too early rather than too late.

So if a person enjoys a part of their life the **** that takes up the rest of it is nullified, If nothing else the statement sets a new standard for stupid.
Think any of the people would like to change places with them (for heading home)?

I would have to take that as the opinion of an expert on spreading bull****.

Opinion? Yup. Shock? Nope. Am I concerned about what things mean to you? Nope.

Doesn't matter.
Are you saying money will decrease a person's chance of having a 'meaningful life'?
Nope
Trolling = you
Moron = you
Comprehension problems, you are the one looking back at previous posts, that would seem to clarify that issue.
Sure I quote previous posts. It's fun pointing out your reversals in argument.
Ignorant of your life, good and I intend to keep it that way.
I don't care what you do.
Do you want to cover everything I read in a Bible thread?
Only the stuff you quote from it that's blatantly insensible.

This have a point? The only one I get is this is the end of our conversation. Might as well end it too early rather than too late.
I'm not surprised you can't relate and figure out the simple point.

Nope.

You just assume that because you didn't comprehend the point, as usual.
Think any of the people would like to change places with them (for heading home)?
Nope but that's irrelevant.

I can spread it with the best of them, when I choose. Your problem is that you are extremely adept at it all the time.

"Nope but that's irrelevant."
So you get to determine if they have a meaningful life, .... not a big surprsise.

"just because people are poor and oppressed they don't enjoy parts of their lives"
Right there you determined that they were living a 'meaningful life', based on (OMG) laughing once in awhile.

On that note we're done.
