I assume (and I apologize if I am wrong) that you are from Ontario. I am from a province where we do have French immersion and it is a optional class til grade 12. I have been a huge Montreal Canadiens fan for 40 years and that is my only interest in Quebec.our high schools offerred German as a very popular elective.why would I go to Quebec .i speak no French, read even less and it sounds like there is no accommodation for people like me.my uncle was an engineer who worked for the government. I don't know how many times they sent him to classes but he just couldn't speak French. We treat the people from Quebec very politely.one of my closest friends has lived out of Quebec for many years but has never spoken of abuse. As our premier spoke when Marois was on one of her rants, you are welcome here.
Well, how on earth do you suppose all those visiting Americans get along?? Most French speaking Canadians, even many of those dreadful Separatists, speak very good English. In fact, I assume many New Yorkers, Vermont & New Hampshire are more familiar with Quebec than most Canadians are.

I am a Quebecer, and the Chateauguay Valley,(Where I reside) is close to Montreal . It used to be renown as one of the best dairy regions in the world. However, these days, working 7 days a week is no longer a favored occupation. The era of family dairy farms are a thing of the past. It is now famous for it's U-pick strawberry, apple and corn farms. The road I live on used to be all dairy farms, now I can count those farms remaining on one hand. What a difference,

So the world has changed and even the outlying regions of Quebec, now have access to Radio and Television Media. The present day French Canadian is very much connected to the outside world. Many of my French Speaking Quebecer friends do not attend church regularly and like many other areas of Canada, there are as many agnostics as there are those of a specific religion.

I find it sad that many Canadians know so little of Quebec but have the idea that Quebecers are very different from other Canadians. We have some nice, some not so, some smart and others not so,some are all mouth and cling to what they heard second, third or 10th hand, as has happened everywhere in Canada. Think back 25 to 30 years and note the difference in what has happened in your region of the world and realize the same has happened in parts of Canada as well.

I think it is the Asians that are noted for bad driving habits.

You've obviously not driven around Montreal. I do it every day now as part of my job, and I've lived in Vancouver in the past..so have experienced both Asian drivers and Queerbecers.

Believe me, the Queerbecers are the worst frigging drivers I've yet to see..

Ontario drivers running a close second, which explains why Alberta once used to me a pleasant province to drive in, until the mass immigration of Queerbecers and Ontario drivers.

Oh yeah and New Canadians.. ;)

The PTB seem to have everything set to fracture/ or not along what ever lines that suit them:
Black/White/Brown, Women/Men, Christian/Muslim, French/English, legal/illegal immigrants,...etc
Them/Us.
in almost 60 yrs, I don't ever recall actually seeing an honest election

I agree. And if various Quebec govts had spent as much time, money and effort promoting Quebec tourism instead of separation and divisiveness, maybe more Canadians would be familiar with Quebec and its people and appreciate them more. I've always enjoyed my time there, even with my astoundingly limited French language skills.

Actually Harper never brought this up, I did.

Because of my new job I go to Quebec daily and find that Queerbecers are about the dumbest mofo's on the friggin planet, ignorant, crappy drivers, and just rude. Where else do you see a pig taking a piss in front of his headlights, or a woman pissing on the side of the road on 20 in full view of passing traffic. Just ignorance, Canada's low hanging fruit.

As for being more Canadian, isn't that what Truedeu said and that Queerbecers ran Canada... That's the attitude I'm talking about, a little full of themselves living of the rest of Canada, a welfare state.

Bill 101, the rest of Canada and the USA is English, business is conducted in English, and the minute Quebec decided to go French only all the head offices moved to Toronto.

I drive through Montreal and it reminds me of Mexico City a 3rd world shyte hole

Boomer if that follows you around from town to town perhaps you are drawn to those areas.

Nope, I make deliveries and I drive the main hiway out which is 20. You see that kind of low class crap all the time. Just 3 days ago where the 40 and 20 meet, car pulls over, girl hops out, drops her pants full moon to the traffic and takes a piss... Quebec tags..

MHz you just wish that happen to you on hwy 2 , you would be the gentleman, pull over and ask if she needs a tissue to wipe

If it was just one place I'd pass it off as isolated, but I've done 100's of pick up and deliveries as far as Dummonville and that attitude is persistent.

Queerbecers truly think Canada owes them something and they are better than the rest of Canada. Trudeu has stated this too...

I guess they are still all butt hurt that the British kicked their butts back when..

Start a driving school if it bothers you that much.
In Alberta you never used to have to use turn signals as everybody knew where other vehicles were going depending on what time of day it was, then the refugees from the east arrived, . . . .
A few things about Quebec, they refuse to accept they lost the war yet complain when Indians start claiming any rights, let alone a long list of 'special rights' such as Quebec does.
The kicker was the underhanded way they do contracts such as the contract to NFLD selling power to the US. Quebec go paid for the right of way for the lines but they took it a step further and jacked the exit rate of the power up a few bucks when that money should have gone to NFLD. Their 'homeland' is also crooked, when the lost a war to Haiti that should have been it rather they saddled them with a 'freedom bill' that was finally paid off in 1950, after running for 250 years. Pretty much makes them pricks to deal with as far as I'm concerned

Be thankful you have 2000 miles between you and Queerbecers just need to ditch the NDP.. ;)

I'm missing Alberta :(
We'll be fine and you will get over it in no time, enjoy your new life in the east.

Some other knight came up behind and caught the poop in a shovel and removed it so the other knight turned to look he would see nothing and assume he crapped in his suit of armor for the rest of the day.

I drive a huge old van when going into the city. When someone annoys me, which happens from time to time, they move when I nudge over the lines a bit. I prefer it to a another sort of weapon. Don't need to aim much believe me and with something as large as that tank, cars move!!

As far as breeding goes, I have one daughter left. Two of my children were killed on the 401 in Ontario. So don't give me any shyte about Quebec's poor drivers. I would much rather have had my kids, than the insurance payments!!.

Actually Harper never brought this up, I did.

You are without doubt the most ignorant Canadian I have ever encountered live or on line. You are a disgrace!!. I have been all over Canada and believe most Canadians do not view Quebecers as you do. For Gawd's sake, quit that bloody job if it is so unpleasant for you to drive in Montreal. Oh but maybe this is the best you can do.....right!!

"If Quebec split..." I roasted a couple smoked moose sausages for lunch today. Both "split" after a while.

What you do not understand, is we do not need to promote tourism. They come!! Quebec politics are never dull and are never uninteresting or boring. That is because of our mixture of people. It is a mixture of many cultures, beginning after the second world war and has continued along the same lines. I grew up amongst, Newfoundlanders, Swedes, blacks from the US, Italians, French along with Scots, Irish and English, all on the same block. Recently it has been the Vietnamese boat people and I am sure Syrian refugees next. Quebec on the whole is more cosmopolitan than Europe is these days. It seems that some parts of Canada, simply incorporate other cultures, where Quebec accept, and grows with and enjoys them.

AnnaG. and you would deserve every one of thosei smoked moose sausages, while most Quebecers would start with T-Bone steaks. Where the rest of the feast would go depends on what one prefers. We love Tai, Chinese, Indian, Italian, and occasionally, a moose steak. I also love all seafood, but to each their own.

Be thankful you have 2000 miles between you and Queerbecers just need to ditch the NDP.. ;)

LEAVE, LEAVE, LEAVE......Go back to the dull and boring where you never have to move out of your comfort zone.

Do you think if Quebec actually voted to split from Canada, would Canadains stand for it, or would there be a civil war within Canada??

As far as I'm concern if you want to leave Canada, there's the door, but try and seperate the country, time to bomb the **** out of their industucture, and not the roads; they are already shyte...

Power plants, bridges, anything that could cause economics hardship.

Just say'in

Because you take pleasure in the suffering of others?
