It sounds like you are somewhat dis-enamoured with our country and our people. I would suggest you leave. There are many airplanes leaving every day. I'm sure you can catch one this afternoon. Don't let the door hit you on the as s on your way out. I would say I will miss you but that would be lying.

That was a long stretch.

He said he hates the government. Nobody in canada to vote for sounds a lot like there arn't any decent options to choose from..... where the hell do you get he hates the country and the people?

Jezus Heughbert Christoffski

See, there's that Unity without question mentality I was talking about.

Someone disagrees in a party, they're fired..... someone bitches about the corrupt buggers running things, and others want them to leave the country so they can't hear any complaints about their own screw ups.

Just because you remove the opposition and nobody can question your actions, doesn't make you right.

He has every right to complain and call out the government for what it is, and he sounds like he's gone through more then enough elections to know a thing or two.

So perhaps next time, you just read and take in just what is written and not try to haul out assumptions from nothing.... it looks silly.

There isn't anybody in Canada at present worth voting for, I agree..... and I'm contemplating if I'll go out and vote next time around too. Somebody's gotta haul ass and show they can do something right for a change to get me to vote for them.

In the last couple of elections I actually decided to vote in, I voted based on the lesser of the evils....... that's usually not the best approach to take, but I took one after not bothering for so many years.

Then I do, and nothing changes, everything still sucks, and it's all getting worse.

So why the hell bother voting anymore really?

They say you can't really have a say if you never voted to state your opinion, but I gave it a shot to see what could happen..... I had plenty to say in the process, it all still blows chunks...... and now none of them interest me in any fashion with any of their agendas.

So what's the point in voting for someone who doesn't actually represent your best interests, just to have some imaginary right to be able to express your opinion, when that opinion doesn't really matter in the first place?

I mean, what difference does it make anyways? Not a whole hell of a lot.

What has this to do with the young? The person, now on a time out, who I was speaking to, said there were no Canadians worth voting for. I believe he/she was wrong. The attitude this person was displaying left only one answer....That person should leave.

I was referring to "Love it or leave it eh. Where have I heard that before?"
Love it or leave it was a song that right wing cowboys sang about war protesters back in the 60s but maybe you missed that.

Praxius,

That may just be the plan - discourage people with the futility of it all so they don't vote. Then they can say voters are apathetic and don't really care about their freedom, etc. and bango: Ya got a new political system. Now you got no choice and they gotcha right where they wantcha - by the short and curlies.

Wow it is time!

I've been working on this project for a while now and it's coming together nicely.
A new political party that is set up to make it easy for independents to run in the next election.
Also for anyone interested who is so distraught as the above posts are, please visit our website and see for yourself what CAMP (Canadian Alternative Members Party) is all about. There is a conference about to be held in Toronto on Saturday Feb. 28th for anyone who is interested in finding out what is required to run in an election. Location to be announced. A very informative time. Please visit our website in the signature for updates.
