Fair enough on the basis of your tax money, you're right you should be able to complain.

But, your last paragraph is exactly why I don't think it's right for Fox News or its viewers or Americans in general to complain much. After all these years Colpy you still don't know what the CBC is. CBC is the only provider of news and information services to hundreds of thousands of people in the north. CBC broadcasts in French and English, as well as 7 or 8 aboriginal languages. CBC provides home/school to thousands of children who can't get out to school. CBC is not Goddamn FOX. The other American networks were offered the chance to provide these services but they refused.................Now, is that a surprise???..................Not bloody likely...

I have called for the dissolution of the CBC before.....but that was not my thrust here. My problem is with Mallick, and anyone that would hire her to do anything more significant than clean the toilets.

No it's not. It's because she is a completely cynical political pick. She shores up the conservative base and presumably appeals to women since we may be dumb enough to vote for another human just because she has lady parts:roll:. There are no other logical reasons for picking her.

How McCain can base his campaign on the idea that this country is under attack and he's the only one with the experience to deal with all the threats we face in this complex age and then say "Oh, and Sara Palin is perfectly qualified to be president" is incomprehensible. He is in his 70s and has had cancer a couple of times and this is who he'd want leading the country if he were to die? Someone who got her first passport last year? Someone who didn't even know what the Bush doctrine reffered to in foreign policy? Ridiculous. He's the guy who always says he puts the country first and then does this. I was disgusted by it because I expected better from him. He learned to be a better politician after his 2000 loss to Bush apparently (that's not a compliment).

You have a right to your opinion of Mallick but that must mean she also has a right to her opinion. Mallick is at least as intelligent as Ann Coulter, but then, so is anyone. Do we assume that bad jounalists are only allowed on the right?

EXACTLY!!! It's this wierd obsession about being authentic, small town, "real" Americans. They aren't like those popular, urban, elitists... so we should vote for them. They can't talk about her qualifications because they aren't good enough by any stretch of the imagination. They have to focus on her story. She's a hockey mom. She has lots of kids. She didn't abort even though her baby has down's syndrome. She supports her pregnant teenage daughter. Her son is a soldier.... This is why she'll add voted to McCain's election bid? It makes me want to barf.
