Sound's like my mother's trip to England. There was a couple from Tennessee on her tour who kept complaining that everybody had accents and were hard to understand. The Tennesseans were speaking, of course, in full southern drawl.

From what I've been reading so far perhaps the biggest difference between us is that many Americans* lack a certain amount of Empathy compared to Canadians

I agree, alex31. It's getting tiring hearing the creator of the thread and his/her supporters saying Canadians want X Y or Z. Canadians are a diverse people with varied opinions, and to say all Canadians want to be Americans is offensive in how it paints us all with one brush.
