Losing does not change the equation that will allow you to win at anything.
If you mean you have to learn from your mistakes win or lose that is one
thing but knowing how to lose to know how to win does not fit the equation

A seasoned loser might be able to win in a more humble manner!

no one has to know how to lose, but one has to learn how to accept losing and take
the positive from the loss. losses just come with the desire and ability
to try to win, one just knows that they 'will' lose along the way, as nothing is attained
by winning alone, at least it is very rare and not the norm. one's competition is also
trying to win, and will sometimes, and sometimes not, and both competitors will learn much
from each other on the road to victory, each one of them will struggle at times, lose, then
win again as they climb up the ladder of success, i am referring to sports.

competitors will learn from their opponants as they lose and as they win, which will help them
improve and become better.

In a sales career one has to lose, a lot, in order to sell. In general it takes 20 attempts to sell to make a sale. The top seller is the one who hears 'no' the most. And by experiencing all the 'nos' one learns how to be better at getting to 'yes'.

That is one endeavour that I would be a complete and utter failure at. I couldn't even sign up a new customer on a paper route!-:) My philosophy is to only complete purchase agreements that I've initiated myself. I learnt the hard way buying encyclopedias that were only supposed to cost me 17 cents a day. -:) They are on the dump now!
