Bush is going to veto that.

And 77% of the USA may not want ANOTHER war, but not that many Americans want to pull the plug and leave Iraq, that number is alot smaller.

Actually, it's time for the world to stop appeasing Bush. Now that the Senate has finally decided to demand a withdrawal, it looks as if they will accede to the majority of the population's demand for peace.

77 % of the USA say, NO MORE WAR!
Even if america pulls out, the war isn't going to end...although it would be great if it did. In fact, the fear is that it will get much worse..and I can't see why it wouldn't. I wasn't all for the invasion, but I'm not all for a pull out. I don't think it's a good idea at all.

Same with me, I don't want another war.

But think: how fair is it to the Iraqi people to pull out and leave them in utter chaos?

huh?

We have discussed this question before: the USA pulled out of Vietnam and after a couple of years of chaos, they settled their affairs. Today they are capitalist! The same will happen with Iraq -- let them settle their own hassles and it will work out.

Gopher, I don't recall the Vietnamese ever being so bloodthirsty as some Iraqi sectarians are. If the US leaves there will be chaos. Even more than there is now.

I do. There were reports of communist terrorists using babies as bait for US troops: infants would be rigged with booby traps and would die in the explosion when lifted. It was a terrible war but we have gotten a sanitized view of it in recent years.
