Um, there's absolutely no evidence to suggest all the car fumes are worse than second-hand smoke.
That cool breeze you feel is the direction you need to take to get out of the hole you've been living in for the last 100 years.
It doesn't have to be all cars..... pick one car.... any one car, even a hybrid car and compare the exhaust that comes out of that vehicle in the same amount of time as it takes a person to smoke one cigarette..... capture both the car exhaust and the 2nd hand smoke from the cigarette and study the levels of toxins and other harmful things in both and you'll easily see that the car will be far more worse for you then the cigarette's 2nd hand smoke.
Though common sense could save you some time. After all, when someone wants to commit suicide, do they try to kill themselves by smoking one cigarette or do they just turn on the car in the garage and just wait a few minutes while they breath in the exhaust?
You want "Evidence?" ~ Like I said, plant your lips around the tail pipe of a vehicle and inhale what comes out and you'll get all the evidence you need.
That's not a good analogy.
Cigarettes more polluting than diesel exhaust - 24 August 2004 - New Scientist
The air pollution emitted by cigarettes is 10 times greater than diesel car exhaust, a small Italian study finds.
"Three smouldering cigarettes produced a 10-fold increase in air particles compared to those produced by the idling vehicle."
Wow, unfortunately I doubt many in here give a damn about "Pollution" since the main issue is what's worse for our health, not the health of the environment.
Sure, perhaps maybe those three cigarettes produced 10-fold more particles then the car...... but particles themselves aren't the issue..... which particles given off by each would be more likely to kill you sooner?
The Particles from the Cigarettes or the Car?? What particles in particular were given off by each?
Also.... it doesn't make a whole lot of sense using three cigarettes at the same time to compare to a car's exhaust when most people I know only smoke one cigarette at a time.
