As it is indicated on my birth certificate my religion is Protestant United.
I haven't been in a religious institution in almost 30 years.
I have never been baptized.
I never went to Sunday school.
I haven't got a copy of a Bible of any sort and have never read one page of it.
Do I believe that there is a higher being? No.
Do I believe that religion has been the worst plague released upon the earth? Yes, the multiple millions that have died because of their own beliefs is sad but not a result of being a Protestant United.
What irks me is that WASPs supposedly have mega power in the world and wealth galore, well I haven't seen any of it.
It really makes my life a whole lot easier being what I am because I have nothing to explain, nothing to defend and no huge bank account to protect.
In conclusion, you can't decide when or where that you will be born.
The religion you end up with is your yoke to carry around and be bound to.
I could have taken the time to research this but I didn't and won't.
I'm fine in my shoes regardless of what I find out about being a WASP!

You are a WAS. A WASP would say the exact opposite to each of the quoted statements.

Just the term "WASP" has only a meaning of safe, bland and boring people..brown bread being their version of soul food. So, dealing with them is just a matter of not yawning overly in their presence.

yep this sums it up, you have no choice until you reach adulthood to change what religions you are given, or yoke or cross you must bear , or what doctrine you are force feed , no choice no wonder people don't like the idea of church ,when you have to believe what your parents believe ,because that's what there parents believed and there before that add infinitum, i did got to a church again a few years back, and was welcomed in and helped by the people there, and the strangest thing i found was that i was a crap singer, the singing was the hardest thing, as i could not reach the notes i previously had been able to do, the thing people miss is the fact church used to be a way of bringing people together, nowadays there are so many ways to interact with people that there is no need, for this interaction, years ago there probably was not hence a need for people to come together, in one place and that place was church....
