I view them with hostility not only because of their imperialistic control over the world (telling others what to do), but because of their large corporations trying to rip other countries off.

How do you think our relationship with those to the south should be like?

I would suggest you re-think the options, because if you truely wish it to be objective, you would perhaps put 5 options down, 2 negative US, 2 positive and 1 of no particular bias. I would certainly say that at the moment it is clear that you dislike the US and your poll is certainly geared towards that way.

If that was your point, then go ahead, just a suggestion.

Did you type up this post on a shiny Dell/HP/Gateway computer? Manufactured by those evil corporations you hate so much?

Everybody is free, not the fault of all Americans is some are rats and evil.

I think we should be allies and friend. We can help them to find a solution in their country.

I can't really choose any of these.

What I think of the USA, is that it is a country which is a bit out of hand right now. Acting overly aggressive, paranoid, manipulative.......

But it is filled with great people, who I think we should count as allies.

USA, bad

Americans, good.

It's kind of hard to reconcile these two views... the way I see the mob, versus the way i see the people within the mob. And none of your poll options really address the issue of the difference between a country's government and its citizens.

THE "I HATE AMERICANS" GAME IS MORONIC AND DESTRUCTIVE..

First of all to "hate America's is to hate yourself... same people..same background..same history. In fact if you travel many parts of the world they see no difference between Canada and the U.S. If some of you were to look closely you'd see the differences are minimal at best. They have guns...we have guns....there's are just more legal...etc etc...

Also many confuse "American's" with U.S. government policy. How many Liberals in Canada associate themselves with Harpers policies right now.... Who many Conservatives though Martin spoke for Canada?? There are more American's the hate Bush and his policies then Canadians in existance...

I live along the border with New York....I understand more of the issues with upstate New Yorkers than with Manatoba..as well the upstae New Yorker will be in agreement with me on issues while thinking the Texan is out to lunch...

I aint all as simple as you'd make it out to be....

hating Americans while dreaming of american actors while drinking a Coke just don't make sence...now does it?

It was a time i was also saying this. Today i changed my mind. I think Canada and the U.S are the same when you look it with your 2 eyes but not with your mind.

We are similar but not the same. People is different. I feel home the U.S. But hey, i also think im half americain-canadian.

I feel more at home the the U.S. than in Quebec..and honestly that has nothing to do with French, rather how welcome I feel.... I have alway felt very welcome within the USA...people going out of their way to say hi and thank me for visiting...wish the same was true in my own country...

The USA, in my opinion, is a terrorist, imperialistic monser that will eventually lead us to the 3rd world war. I despise that country and its politics.

Don't worry, if people like you are in charge when WWIII comes, you probably won't get much blood on you sitting on the sidelines.

I'm unsure about how I feel, I guess thier no better or worse than all the other failed evil empires, it just seems a good chance they'll take the rest of us down to hell with them, given the state of modern weaponry this is the likely result of protracted warfare in these times. It's not that they're the authors or creators of evil only that they're the greatest practicioners of it, so also will they become its victim. If you practice war it destroys you, thats a rule, a truism, a law of nature.

The more I read of current Canadian Thought.... I wish the French had won!

They did win, half of Canada is french, half is english, half is first people, and the other half for the rest of the worlds people, we have better more advanced math. Currrent Canadian thought lags behind the global opinion, be thankful.:laughing7::laughing7::wave:
