How do you compassionately tell a supernatural believing person that they are borderline stupid?

As you can see by my title, I do not know how.

Scriptures say that to correct is a sign of love. Proverbs 3:12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Most do not see it that way when on the receiving end of that love.

I see correction as love just as the scriptures do. How do you see it and how would you tell a supernatural believing person that they are borderline stupid?

You shouln,t tell them that they are borderline stupid when you have no such border to protect you from real stupid, stupid. So when someone feels the force called creation and call that force God correctly as billions before have it just means that they recognize the power beyond themselves and pay due respect and attention, they are in proper awe of the majesty of nature.

Nature is nature and God is God, stupid.

Why are you misusing the definition of well defined words and creating new synonyms that are in no way related?

I don't think that's possible, and believing in the supernatural doesn't mean a person is borderline stupid anyway. Besides, that's the ad hominem fallacy. You might tell people their beliefs are stupid if that's what you think, though that's really not a good approach either. There are better ways to challenge them if you care what they think of you, like respectful disagreement, but telling them *they're* stupid, borderline or otherwise, is the end of any useful exchange, and probably the end of any respect they might have had for you.

In one breath you are telling me God is incompetent and evil and in the next breath you are expounding on the Scriptures, so I'm not really sure you are able to tell anyone anything. I don't suppose telling him he has a "room temperature I.Q." would impress him!

Only Gods help can save him.

Will God find the time ?

the term supernatural is at play here, whats it doing in yer head? Who defined it for you/us?

The think police are everywhere,

I can say that because I have a drinking problem.

Define natural, ass hole.

True, but I do not see the value in gaining respect from those who continue to adore a genocidal son murdering prick of a God.

If they reject such a vile God, then their respect become valuable.

True, but the option is to leave him to his poor thinking.

That is hardly how one shows his love of man nor does it reduce the harm that religions do.

If there is a god, it would have to be a naturally occurring phenomenon.

I agree. To a Gnostic Christian it is natural and that is why we name our God, I am, and mean us.

In nature, the ideal of all species is one of their own and that should apply to us as natural creatures as well.
