the thing about numbers and correlations is all of them have a lot. every number under a hundred has some amazing facts about it. i once listened to a 30 minute radio show all about the number 7. it has a lot of significance, but so has the number 4. and the number 2, and 6, and all the integers. even irrational numbers and weird decimals can appear to have enormous meaning if you investigate them far enough. BTW 7 was recently discovered to be the number of shuffles where a shuffled deck of cards goes from having order to being random. it's a point transition and not a gradual thing at all. Apparently if you can shuffle perfectly (ie cut the deck exactly in half and then flick them together so they two sides alternate exactly) then if you do it 8 times they go back to where they started.
It makes for an interesting study. It helps in understanding things in the bible.
7 is a complete number.
God created the heavens and the earth in six days and rested on the 7. Completion.
Jesus also re-created the spiritual side of it and rested on the 7th day.
Want to know how long it took Jesus to do it? I mean all 7 days? One day!
It started the eve of the 5th day, the beginning of the 6th, and ended the eve of the 6th, the beginning of the 7th.
A 24 hour day as represented by the 24 Elders in the Book of Revelation.
Or 4-6 hour quarters as represented by the four beasts of Revelation.
Or the 2 witnesses both 12 hours each making for the whole day.
So can you appreciate the numbers thing in the bible? They mean something. God did not just randomly institute them without cause.
