okay, you gotta put that bible away sometimes dude. that wasnt at all what i meant/ i was talking about society and what it defines as normal and abnormal. you said to gilbert he was normal and i wanted to know what defined being normal. not once did i ask you what some guy wrote jesus said about israel or whatever.

The bible Maple, is the word of God, take it or leave it. If you choose the latter, then deal with what this world has to offer you. If you choose the former, that blessed you will be.

Abnormal because the world can not understand (Recognize) you, for if you are born of God, that is.

We are already a child of this world, being born of the flesh, but not until we are born from above, are we a child of the King.

Normal is: not born of God.

look 3467, i'd be interested to know your opinion on the following. I know what sanctus's'd be.

What if i didn't love God, because I am weak of faith and strong on experimental science? but still acted as a good person should? what will happen to me in your opinion?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with not loving God. To love God is to know Him. I know Him, therefore, I love Him.
A male falls in love with a female only after he knows her, I mean what she's like. And if he does, to what lengths wouldn't he go to please her?
Climb the highest mountain, swim across the sea, do cartwheels, well you know thew stuff.

When we fall in love with God, then there's no telling to what end we will go to please Him.

As for your faith? That will increase with time, and experience as the Spirit of God give you understanding.

seriously look3467. For definitions of words, a dictionary is better than a bible.

The dictionary give "the" definition of the words, but the bible gives us a spiritual message not defined by the dictionary.
Example: what is a tree? The bible teaches of the tree of life. (We know that a tree is not human) Then there the tree of knowledge.(We know the tree does not have knowledge)
Another one of many is: mountain. The bible speaks of faith being able to remove mountains. Think about it for a second, why remove a physical mountain? It is a spiritual application to denote a government, a kingdom or rulers in high offices.

This is the part where dividing of the word comes in. Unless we have the Spirit of God revealing the messages contained in His word, we will "NOT" have understanding.

Just read some of the posts on this one subject. Does that not tell you something is amiss?

hey thanks self. i just hear so much about channeling it sounds interesting. dont know if i buy it tough. are you sure its not self suggestion?

Quite sure. I was the biggest sceptic ever til it happened to me. My friends daughter came to me and I did NOT know how she looked or her mannerisms yet I described her to a tee to my friend and her giggle lol Mt friend and I were blown awy. I had never met the child or seen her picture.

Same with Danny an on line friends hubby that died of cancer. He came to me to tell me she was suicideal and I called her and talked to her.

I dont know what it is. But I wont ever dismiss it again.

And before you ask me for proof....I have none except my own experiences. And unlike most I feel no need to prove my experiences.

prayer/meditation beads are common in many religions. In my faith meditation is very important. You must quiet the mind to be healthy. Even doctors suggest meditation for clearer thinking. So in my world its of the utmost importance.

(Big smile on my face) Oh you do, do you!...heh heh heh, bet you'd be right though. Oh, for all those times I've felt weak and empty inside! If I had even a penny for each time, I'd be a wealthy man.

Ready to fall off your chair Self, I could not agree with you more. To distance the self from the world, and to truly focus on inside, or God if you prefer, is one of the most peaceful and affirming places to be.

I'm not trying to bait you, but I am very interested in what you wrote. This first time it happened, did you feel any differently inside? How would you describe your state of mind during the event? Were you fully concious, or in a trance of some sort?

i feel sure i could be strong of faith, but it is not in my nature to do so... i choose not to. i choose to believe something more strongly the more actual physical evidence i see. So it's not really about my strength of faith (although that's how i jovially wrote about it) but whether i should choose to believe something to be true without definitive proof. I prefer to talk about probabilities. It's very probable that i have two legs so i tend to talk about it as if it were fact, but i am aware i might not really have any.

But that is your definition of normal. I do not think that is at all what Maple was talking about. I think she meant what we consider normal may not in fact be so. In other words, who defines who is and is not normal? What are the standards we use? What is normal for me may be abnormal to you.

Every bone inside me says your going to burn me at the stake.

The first time it happened My Friend was missing his child that had died so bad. We were chatting online and I heard a giggle. then she asked why he couldnt see her or hear her. I knew right away who she was. I told her he wasnt ready. I told my friend what I had experienced and I described the child. He sent me her picture and it was her. Believe dont believe I dont care.

I know you are, and I'm sorry if that has been the impression you've received.

Anyway, did you ever experience anything like this before that time? Any precognition before? It is an interesting subject.

For the record I do not deny spiritual experiences of any kind, though to be fair I might question the source. But I am sure we don't need to argue that in a discussion, do we?

What interests me is that many people who experience what you describe never seem to have a past with this sort of thing. It just happens. Would this be fair to say of your experiences?

i can add to your list of anecdotes. my mother had a bunch of strange occurences while i was young. She had a manfriend who she used to communicate with telepathically, they just knew if one of them was late or if one of them needed to talk, stuff like that. she also used to be able to choose the winning ticket without fail in a raffle. they actually changed the rules so she wouldnt win any more. shame but the lottery wasnt about back then

How very interesting. Did she have just isolated experiences, or was it a constant and steady thing? What about you Self, are these experiences constant, can you bring them on at will, or do they just happen?
I'm asking questions like our dear Maple now?;-)

it went on for a long time but stopped when the guy left. he was what he referred to as a healer. put his hands over people and they said they felt better. I believe this works. Probably mainly because you're getting human attention, warmth, and a quiet moment in a peaceful surrounding. this is a very good thing for anyone with any ailment, except possibly narcolepsy

With the channelling thats true. It started in 2002, Scared the hell out of me because I HAVE heard voices before but it was due to my illness.....voices that would tell me to harm myself. But this little girl wasnt asking me to hurt myself AND I was medicated correctly for the first time in my life. I had other sense experiences since I was 6 but not channelling.

My Mom and Grandma had ......."dreams" and premenitions also.

Ive had priest after priest tell me Im possessed......you telling me Im not?

I TOTALLY believe we ALL have the "power" (hate that word) Our 6th sense is just a muscle like the brain that need practice. We are amazing creatures.

I don't know, to be honest with you. Maybe it is a gift from God? I'd have to really know a person before making those kinds of judgements.

Do you have dreams as well? Are these dreams that are about things happening or are about to happen?

I think such an experince would scare the crap out of me at first too. I would be positive I was losing my mind.
