absolutely right, this division is very strong, but with the wildcard teams, the seventh and eighth finishing
teams in the conference, a division actually could have as little as 3 or as many as 5 teams in the
playoffs.
for eg. in the pacific division, if their 4 and 5th place teams finish higher than any other 4th or 5th
place teams in the western conference, they both will be in the playoffs.
I don't know why they had to screw that up, was better before, top 8 teams in the conference were in! Too simple I guess. There's always an idiot who has to put his "flavour" on something!.
there is good reason to change, as a fourth team in one division 'before', could have made the playoffs,
even though they were way below the fifth and sixth team in another division in same conference.
this way, the actual top 8 teams in the conference will go to the playoffs.
the first wildcard team from either conference will play the top team of the other division, and the second
wildcard team will play the top team from other division.
i like it because a weak finishing team can't be in the playoffs, and a stronger finishing team, be left out.

bernier had a great game, miller did not.
poor start, then levelled off, but bernier was the story, so lets give him the credit he deserves.

got to the Rangers-Detroit game late as I had been watching the SEC championship ------ score was Rangers ahead 2-0
sure enough as soon as I got there, they gave up the lead and the game which they lost 3-2

temporarily, i told you guys that toronto would be ready for this one,
by the time canucks got to toronto, the leafs had risen to the occasion,
well, at least their goalie did, it was all about the goalies.
Taloola you forget that even though I live in Gopherland, I still think like a New Yorker where wins/losses are seen by the fans as personal wins/losses. We do both as a TEAM. Difficult to explain but when they lose we feel it deep inside real bad. Can't help but think that way ....
well its the same here for the canucks,this area is mad about their team, no less
than in new york, but not for me any longer. i've been through that all of my
life, but now have arrived at a point where i don't really look at results seriously any longer.
and i also have lots of other teams i enjoy almost as well.
at this stage of my life i refuse to get emotionally involved much at all, and i quickly move on
and look ahead, and completely put aside all of that, but i hear it from others often, and the disappointment
by many when canucks lose is something i just can't get involved in at all.
can't explain it, i guess its just, 'been there done that' kind of attitude, and i am somewhat disconnected,
but i still love the game as much as ever, so i actually enjoy it more now, for me its all about
the game and not 'my' team, ive backed off of that part of it, its more fun, lots of teams i use to
dislike a lot, i now support and enjoy, calgary and edmonton and winnipeg for sure, and others, never
toronto though, lol.

well if we think about this for a moment, they are on the 6th game of a 7 game road trip, and they played
back to back, so what i saw, on top of too many penalties, was a team that, as the game went along,
got more tired, leg tired, and mentally tired, so the fact that they hung on for the one point
is at least something instead of nothing.

montreal is very inconsistent this year.
canucks should be better in the next game, they have a day to rest up, get their legs back,
sharpen up the brain, and away they go, i am a bit confused about miller, he can look
brilliant and then very poor, that could be the difference, as it was in toronto, canucks
would have won that game going away, if lack had of started, miller was awful, he
put them in a big hole, its like spotting a team 3 goals, then starting the
game.
That's for sure- 2 short weeks ago they were first in the rankings, now they are below 10th
My thoughts exactly. Where was Miller before this year? Has he always been this hot and cold? Another thing was that they put Miller in after Lack's shut-out. I probably would have stayed with Lack but they could have been worried about damaging Miller's confidence.......Too late to worry about that now. Go with Lack against Montreal and hope for the best.
