Interesting that you should mention Burrows, talloola as he was injured again today in Canada's game against Italy at the World's. No word yet on his status. Also wanted to let you know that Cody Hodgson is having himself a heck of tournament. He got a hat-trick on Thurs and today he got a pair. There are a few comments on TSN about the Canucks trading Hodgson - many of them wondering why they ever did.
i wouldn't take that trade back for anything, zack kassian has had a very good season, and getting better
all the time, he is big, he skates like the wind, and he thinks well on the ice,
and he is a year younger than hodgson.
good for cody hodgson, on the big ice he has lots of room to skate, as his skating is his only weak
point, and he is a great thinker on the ice, and it shows in this tournament.
no, i am very glad of the trade, hodgson didn't want to stay on the canucks, whined thAt he wanted
more ice time 'now', not later, didn't feel that he should wait for anyone.
sure hope burrows is going to be ok, wonder if his knee is blown out.
l.a. came to play, and anaheim didn't, it was obvious on the drop of the puck, and they didn't look
back, 3-0 at the end of first period, so now we'll see if anaheim can fight their way back, will
be difficult, as l.a. has one of the best defenses in the league, and of course we all know about
jonathan quick.
update: late in the 2nd period, 5-1 l.a.
final score l.a. 6 anaheim 2, l.a. goes on to play chicago sunday afternoon in
chicago, first game of conference final
i would like to mention this was the final game for teemu sellane, a wonderful
player, a great human being, and it was nice to see the l.a. kings stay on the
ice, and all tap their sticks on the ice in appreciation for 'his' career.
it was a very special few moments after the game, but i did hear that one of
his sons has been drafted in the u.s., a junior i would imagine, so probably
won't be long till that name surfaces again, and we can start over again.
