Lukowich's goal was a thing of beauty. Daniel Sedin had something to do with it.
I was listening to some eastern so-called hockey chat
guys talking about two weeks ago, and then asked.
"Who do you think will win the scoring title:
ovetchkin, crosby or gaborik, end of story.
where does it all end? the mason dixon line?
I hope they can keep it going. St Louis is next and they're always a tough game it seems.
If the scoring race stays close I think ovetchkin has the
advantage, 'because', in the last group of games, at the
end of the season when everyone plays within their own
conference and division, the east has so many bad teams,
ovetchkin will be able to pile up the points, but hank,
playing in his own conference/division, won't have it
quite so easy.
The east has trouble playing the west, they pick up all
of their wins playing each other.
ATLANTA
TAMPA BAY
FLORIDA
TORONTO
PHILADELPHIA
DETROIT
PITTSBURGH
PHOENIX
NY ISLANDERS
Last 9 games for the caps. Apart from the Pens and Detroit (if they get healthy). Ovie should be able to pile up points against all these teams.
Ovie picked up 0 points in Caps 7-2 win over NYI, who would have thought...
Anybody want to bet that Henri won't get two or three points in the next game. I wouldn't.
I shouldn't be quite so confident. The Canucks have a brutal road trip that seems completely unfair. The following is the first half of that road trip:
Feb. 2 Canadiens
Feb. 4 Senators
Feb. 6 Bruins
Feb. 9 Lightening
Feb 11 Panthers
Feb. 12 Blue Jackets
Feb 14 Wild
I was thinking more about the traveling and a game about every second night and this is only the first half of the road trip. They will do well to finish the trip over five hundred. I could be wrong....;-)
our first game of this road trip is in toronto on Sat.
night, and it is part of the 'hockey day in canada',
celebration.
