actually there are few tumbleweeds in the sonoran desert. I don't follow the sport as I like college football and not much else but I think they are still playing here.and they beat other teams as well, did you notice where they ended up point wise, so they
did not have a good season, doesn't matter who they beat once in awhile.
i wonder about them, are they still going to move? or are they just going to dry up and blow away
with the tumbleweeds on the desert
well, they will have a very talented draft pick this season, and they also made A few trades when
they traded away some of their players.
i hope they do well next year.

there is a lot of chit chat about an nhl team in las vegas, maybe they will relocate there, who knows.
the thought of las vegas in the nhl turns my stomach, but hey, no one contacted me for an opinion from
the nhl, i've never been to las vegas, its not even on my list of places i would want to visit, i would
be bored out of my mind there, its definitely not a sports town, but it is all about $$$$$$$ right, that
is the bottom line, and of course 'bottoms' in the seats.
Oh yeah, it's a sports town - all kinds of betting. I've been there three times, loved every minute!
I can't watch a hockey game from start to finish anymore. Most of it is a giant hack-fest. I couldn't sit through more than 5 minutes of any Anaheim-Winnipeg game for just that reason. Bored the crap out of me. Plus it is a colossal waste of time. Most games I watch when at the gym. I keep half an eye on the game and do something productive at the same time.
The only games I generally watch start to finish are the Super Bowl and Grey Cup, as well as the odd season NFL or CFL game.
i'd rather stay home and watch my grass grow, i have never been in a casino, not interested, but there
must be some fun things to do, i know they have lots of golf courses, but out of my price range,
but of course if i gambled i would win lots of money to golf, yeah right.
nope, i like the outdoors, not hanging around in a cAsino, when we stayed in yuma for the winter they
were always sending busses around to take everyone to lake havasu, free this, free that, get lost with
your busses, we've got better things to do.
connecting the word sports to gambling is hillarious, sitting on your a** giving your money away.
It's like a lot of other things, the people you meet are often more interesting than what you are actually doing. If I'm losing money when I'm there it's generally 10 cents or possibly 2 bits at a time, so if a person all of a sudden ends up broke it's their own fault. No one is twisting your arm to bet big money. Greed is what brings a lot of them down. If I play for an hour and it costs me $10 or $20 I'm happy and once in a blue moon you leave with a pile of their money.
those casinos are there because they know the weakness of the human, not so much greed, but just have to
try again, cause a win might be right around the corner, they make millions, they are in charge of
how much they give away, and they know how much they will rake in. its all about 'just' seeing if i
can win, might be the next bet, people get hooked on gambling. my brother in law gambled all thetime,
was always travelling to the casinos, he loved the crowds, loved to drink, loved the atmosphere, and
just knew a big win could be the next play, whatever he was playing, he got a few big wins, but if he
subtracted his losses, he would have been way way behind, we are so different than that, according
to many we just don't like to have fun, that mAkes me laugh, cAuse its so wrong. to each his own.
my husband went with him once, bet $20.00, lost it, and watched his brother gAmble the rest of the
time, that was about 40 years ago, so $20.00 was a decent bet, not any more, my husband cAme home
down $20.00, his brother much more than that, but don't worry he might get it back next time, yeah
right.
not long Ago i won a free lunch for 2 at our locAl cAsino, we went there, ate our free lunch, and
left, didn't even go into the gambling area, not interested.
i'll give my 20.00 to a charity, or my grandkids, or buy my dog a new toy, or burn it before i will
gamble it away.
Lot of wisdom there. I also don't do things I'm not comfortable with. Ever watch that game show on T.V. "Deal or No deal"? We watch it quite a bit, just blows our minds the people that turn down 30 or $40 grand and walk out with nothing! Of course when you embark on those games you have to set a limit before you ever start.
no i don't know anything about that show.
Not sure what channel it's on (my wife keeps track of that stuff) but it's on most of the day. Howie Mandel is the host.
The Canucks, after losing three or four in a row, win 5 to 1 against the Habs, who are currently, the top team in the league. Maybe it's a good sign,,,,Lol
Weren't some of those losses in O.T.? Could have just as easily gone the other way. I think the Canucks are generally pretty respectable. (Haven't been able to follow them much this year- World series has been tying up the channels!)
