Vancouver was ptiful. It was like they played in a lower division.. I doubt they will make the playoffs.
The part of the game I saw brought to mind something a play by play announcer said once about older players 'it's not the legs that go so much as the hands'.

The Sedins are constantly mishandling the puck lately-making terrible plays because of what appears to be straight out clumsiness and every mistake costs the team one way or the other.

Well, I thought the Canucks were going to have another shut-out to make it three in a row.......no such luck. One of those long shots that two or three people got to tip before it finally alluded Ryan and ruined the shut-our bid. I was glad to see Horvat get a goal because he works so hard.

I managed to watch about 1/2 the game amid distractions (which happens when company walks in) They looked good to me, I didn't see much of the third period, so missed the goal against, but Hey Sh*t happens. How are they for points compared to this time last year? Must be up a couple at least!

its 3-2 for new jersey in the 3rd period.

Not yet still one period left!

as i said san jose are one point back of canucks, so they need to lose to keep canucks in 6th.

ok, good, new jersey 5 san jose 2

I think the Kings and the Sharks better get the lead out or they'll be on the golf course in April.:)

yeah, those things are possible, although seem unlikely, but the division is so close, doesn't take
much to slide or climb.

as time goes on, it becomes harder to climb than slide, but can still happen.

I just happened to notice Edmonton just pulled off at least one point at the "eleventh hour". Go Oilers go!

Edmonton won, Canucks aren't doing quite as well.

The Canucks Ho- Hum season is biting them in the stands-fans are staying away in droves.Even 500 hockey isn't enough to heal the wounds caused by last season and the deep dive of early this season-it's rebuilding time and the business just has to suck it up

Vancouver Canucks ticket prices tumble as fans dump team
Tickets for the once-red-hot team are now selling for $30 or less online

Tickets for Tuesday night's Canucks game against the Winnipeg Jets were selling for as little as $30 last night outside Rogers Arena as fans appear to be losing interest in the lacklustre team.

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Alexander Edler (23) puts Winnipeg Jets center Bryan Little (18) into the boards during the second period of NHL action in Vancouver, B.C. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015.

The official prices for seats range from $62 to $209, but a quick search of Craigslist also turned up dozens of ads promising great seats well below face value, some as low as $25 each.

Some sellers were even offering to deliver them, if you will just take the tickets off their hands.

"It hasn't been this bad since the Keenan days... and even a bit lower," said ticket broker Kingsley Bailey, referring to Mike Keenan, who coached the team during two losing seasons in 1997/98 and 1998/99.

Hot tickets no more

It used to be fans would pay hundreds of dollars for even a nose-bleed seat at the Canucks' home games. Some even flew to Phoenix or San Jose to get a great seat at one of the team's away games.

The team even boasted about its sellout streak of close to 500 games.

But that run of sellouts ended earlier this year, when after a strong start, the team's performance faded.

As the goals dried up, so has the fan support, with ticket prices dropping to levels not seen in years.

The team has tried to improve this season by hiring a new coach, GM and former team captain Trevor Linden as the new president.

Bailey says seasons ticket holders have endured too many price increases by management that didn't seem to care about the fans.

"[They] were not good to their season ticket base..[you] can only give it to season ticket holders so long," he said.

Fans can be a fickle bunch. Only 50% of teams win!:)

Well, Vancouver was beaten by San Jose' by a score of 5 -1. Let some of these losers go and let's make the team at least respectable
in the rest of the season.......if that is possible.

I've just decided the Canucks have officially made the playoffs. :)

Good outcome to the Shark game. Serves them right for beating up on the Canucks!:)

How does this crap happen two nights after they shellacked the Penguins? Unbelievable!

All you need is a mystery goaltender who stops 31 shots in a 5 - 0 shut out of the Penguins and does the reverse by losing the next game badly and the Canucks look like a different team altogether.

I guess he should have put Lack in goal.

I think team defense is probably as important as who is in the net. Surely one of those three bookends in charge of running the Canucks can figure out how to solve their consistency problems.

Tonight the Hawks scored first. The Canucks came back with three unaswered goals to make iy 3 -1. The Canucks and the Hawks ended up tied 4 all going into overtime where Vancouver scored the winner. Not a particularly good game but they got a win.

Who else but a bunch of F**king idiots can go from 4-2 to 4-4 in the last 3 minutes of the game? Chicago should never have got a point!
