J. Hansen just scored another, making it 3 - 0 at the end of the second. When it gets to 4 - 0 we can cautiously start to count our eggs...

what a strange thing to say. because they haven't won yet, means that they will win a
game soon. they are getting one of their top players back tonight.
i'm sure glad the coaches and the team don't look at the game from that angle, or they
wouldn't win anything.

have you followed oilers lately, lost first five, now they have won four straight. just
because a team doesn't have a win, doesn't for one minute mean they can't win.

yeah, very strange, even with the smily

Maybe not all that strange, Talloola! :)

good win for canucks, although carolina is struggling, they looked scary at times, staal returning
picked them up a little more.

i really like linden vey, very polished pure goal scorer, desjardin campaigned the management to bring
him in from l.a., sure glad he did that.

everyone played well, team is working very hard for this coach, they like him, and i can see why.
totally different structure to the game, suits the team very well, they are having fun.

things are settling in now, some chemistry is noticed on that second line, they are getting better
all the time.

i'm sure desjardin will still consider making a few little changes, horvat should be coming back
in a few days, so they will hAve to decide how to use him, or whether to use him.
i don't know how he did on his conditioning stint in utica.

montreal on thursday. they won in a shoot out in calgary tonight and edmonton beat them last
night, so they aren't running over any team in the west, so they shouldn't run over canucks
either. should be a good game.

Maybe not all that strange, Talloola! :)

yeah, all that strange.

What did you think the score was going to be?

didn't have a clue, didn't even think about it. i knew the team would come out
working hard, seems they will do that every game, and that alone gives them a
chance against any team, but teams who start the season losing will either get
it together sooner rather than later, or not. teams don't usually just stay the
same all year, it is a work in progress for all teams, whether they are considered
top teams or not.
teams should improve as the season goes along, and to label teams as losers or
easy to beat isn't accurate, and some teams that start well will taper off as
well.

any team can beat any team, that is always the way, no coach goes into a game thinking
it will be easy, that is the kiss of death.

the more a team loses, the more desperate they get, oilers were a very good example of that,
they were miserable, no confidence, lost first 5 games of the season, everyone was talking about
them as losers, poor coach, poor players, nope that is not right, and all of a sudden they won one, then two, confidence
starting creeping back in, then 3, then 4, now they look like the team that they should be,
but that doesn't mean they will keep winning, but it does mean they know they can, that
team has many very good players, and i see them getting better each year, so look out, and
calgary is also looking pretty good, so we can't think we can just waltz in to a game with
either one of them and win, we must get better too, and respect the other teams.

Things I like are the different things the coaches are doing to make them a better team.......to help each other....to support each other.......to like each other. This may sound trivial but it is important if the team is to move up.

yes, i agree juan, i see that too, and when one of the players was being interviewed, he stated thAt the
coaches, when discussing how each player need to play, asks in return 'what the player thinks' about that
suggestion, And how does the player feel 'he' can do his best for the team.

this coAch is a very thoughtful, deep thinking,(in regards to the game), type of person, and his need
for the players to be happy and eager while doing their best is important.
his best moments are not talking to the media, but thinking and teaching the game.

we'll see lots of habs jerseys in the crowd tonight, some are vintage from their time when they were
really habs fans before canucks were born, others will be seen near ice level, montreal fans who have
bought tickets from canuck season ticket holders for a hefty price, so we lose a canuck fan for a
habs fan for a night, same will happen when toronto come to town

Message:Canadiens wrap up road trip against Canucks
Montréal Canadiens vs. Vancouver CanucksCANADIENS (8-2-0) at CANUCKS (6-3-0)

TV: SN360, RDS

Season series: The Montreal Canadiens won each of the two games against the Vancouver Canucks last season, outscoring them 9-3. Montreal forward Max Pacioretty scored four goals in the two games, and goaltender Carey Price stopped 81 of 84 shots (.964 save percentage).

Canadiens team scope: Montreal has split the first two games of this three-game road trip, in opposite ways. The Canadiens gave up 18 shots on goal to the Edmonton Oilers and lost 3-0 Tuesday, then gave up 38 shots to the Calgary Flames and won 2-1 in a shootout Wednesday. After allowing 14 goals in his first four games, Price has allowed five in his next four. Montreal has given up the first goal in eight of its 10 games, and is 0-for-21 on the power play on the road, according to the Montreal Gazette.

Canucks team scope: Vancouver has won three of its past four, allowing 1, 2 and 1 goal in the victories, including 4-1 against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday. In outscoring the Hurricanes and Washington Capitals 8-3 in the first two games of this three-game homestand, seven players have scored. After allowing five goals against the Dallas Stars in 21 minutes, goaltender Ryan Miller has given up four in a three-game winning streak, including the 300th win of his NHL career.

Very good game.

yes, very good. they have now played 10 games, we have seen real good improvement in a
team, with a new coach (s), back to a smart structure to the game, that fits them perfectly,
and gives the team an uptempo style with lots of energy and speed, and the team has responded
very well. miller started a bit shaky, a good game a bad game, but began to become consistently
smooth and confident, and looks like the goalie we all thought was the best in the world back
only a few years.

now i see a team that can fight for a playoff spot, it won't be easy, as edmonton And calgary
are also improving, and there are only 8 playoff spots in the conference, 3 from each division
and 2 more from the conference, a very good conference.

alex burrows has been suspended 3 games for his hit on emalin. i see the infraction, it is clear, and we
wondered at the time, why nothing was called. it is both a late hit and an illegal hit to the head by
burrow's shoulder, and of course if there had been a call, the goal that was scored on that play would
not have counted, BUT i also saw the apparant goalie interference by gallagher on miller, that did
result in a goal for montreal, and again, no call, so the goal scoring, in my opinion is evened up.
