RE: History Lesson For An
Classic post from a citizen of the united states of America, while trying to point out how great and good the US of A is, they manage to offend pretty much everyone around them.
It does make you wonder what the world would be like if there were no world war one, it's quite possible that the world would be a very different place, Britain would side with it's traditional allies (the germans), keep the cordial etate or whatever, I think it would be safe to save if europehadnt spent the first half of the 20th century in-wardly fighting, a European Union could very well have been established wich would easily be more powerful than the US, as opposed to slowly becoming more powerful (like they are now)
But "What if's", what if, the two most painful of human words. I dont want to have this arguement again about Co-operation or Colonialisation/Imperialism....fact is, where do you draw the line, sure, you withdraw yourself from Japan, Afghanistan, South Korea (all though they all retain a pro-US representation)...how about the Shah of Iran, that foreign meddling didnt help, but no, I digress, simply put, ok, over the world the US goes home, but being that there's a bunch of people who've lived in "America" for thousands of years and do not see most "americans" as owning the land they stand on, well then saying the US isnt a colonial power is a bit of a grey area....I dont want any arguements on the subject, but at least they have their own provence in Canada (however remote).
And the Manpower the US has are usually just immigrants from all over the world too, sheer numbers will tell you that when millions from all over the world converge on one continent, you get a few people, thus a lot of manpower.
I would just like to say I am not actually anti-US, I just feel that sometimes...well it's complicated
