What a wonderful hot, sunny day here in the Cariboo - first one we have had in so long, I can't remember the last. Going to the 108 on Monday to have my face painted and have fun with my friends and neighbors as we celebrate Canada Day - bring on the great weather. Yahoo!

Who? What would anyone moan about? We get to swim in warm fresh water that won't give us a rash on our crotches never mined the jellyfish which are worse than ticks or skeeters.
What grief?

I have swum in English Bay since 1973 and never encountered a Jellyfish-although I have seen them in Burrard Inlet withing sight of Port Moody.

thanks, looks like you did that, quite comfortable here today, but still too warm to sit around
in the sun, but that little 'ocean breeze' is perfect.

I think we'll need all the breeze we can get today. My thermometer already reads 24 degrees at 8:30 in the morning. The forcast is for 29 but I would bet we'll be well into the thirties. Should do our tomatoes good...

Only 27C forecasted for today and yeah bring on the heat. It means more than just happy tomatoes for me.

33C tomorrow. We might have to hit one of the local lakes and spend the day buzzing around on our RIB boat.

I wouldn't call it too much of a heat wave, it topped out here at 34C and is already on the way down, a little earlier than most days at this time of year. I think all the bally hoo about this "heat wave" was just a gimmick to generate a little news.

A little bit of bullsh*t down in the western U.S. Blythe and Bullhead City reached 46C, Needles 45C, Furnace Creek 44C and Death Valley strangely only 34C, Phoenix 44C. The world record is 56C at Death Valley, so it's a long ways shy of forecast.

don't know what the temp was here today, too damn hot for me, thats definite.

i'm just starting to enjoy the temp right now as I sit here, gentle breeze coming in
the door, and it is 9:47 p.m.

took the dog for a swim at 8 p.m., and it was still hot.

Ever swim at Stotan Falls? One of the best places near Courtenay! Our family enjoyed many hours there when the kids were small.
