This was an election issue and people voted for it he has kept his promise
end of story. People are saying oh god he is doing this or that and in fact
he is doing what he said and in some cases trying to do what he said and
finding out it doesn't work that way I would rather him do something work or
not than have him do nothing

Making pot legal was also an election issue but Canadian taxpayers are still getting busted for smoking a joint. Living up to that promise would not only save taxpayers money but make police free to go after real criminals.

There's a practical reason for this: Keeping seniors on the job for an additional couple of years diminishes the number of jobs available for young people entering the workforce.

Also removes a huge knowledge base from the workforce. Your twisted logic would indicate that the retirement age should be lowered to 50.

Am I to understand he has reversed the age back to Age 65.... effective in 2023? So this goes into effect seven years from now?

Our politicians tend to make promises that they will in no way be responsible for by the time they are enacted.

JUSTIN'S GONE CRAZY?!!!

So, um. What is the eligibility age now? What is it in other countries? When was it supposed to change?

Not a good economical decision, but 65 is old enough to sit after most people I know have been working since they were 16. Come on man! If Ottawa didn't spend all our money on stupidity, we would be able to retire with a much better pension. Just the money JT has spent in a few months alone!

But he did spend it and we cheered .

2023 was the year when the Conservative's plan to raise the age limit would take effect. I gather things will simply stay the same now.

65 like most people alive today! Need you ask?

Yeah, it might look like that for a year or two or maybe even five, but eventually it will strangle us.
Harper figured out years ago it won't work, which doesn't take rocket science to understand.

Well, since you seem to be a mathematical genius why don't you explain it? Or perhaps you think only the wealthy deserve livable pensions.
