Is greenwash going to be the new buzzword for the lefties? It is too bad the populace was greenwashed into believing nucklear power was going to be the end of the world. It is a safe and non-polluting source of energy when developed and maintained properly.Unfortunately, the parents of the fools who are now crying about climate change were doing the same "chicken little" act about nuclear power thirty years ago.

Patrick Moore, one of the founders of Greenpeace is now an active proponent for nuclear reactors, and a big critic of the tactics used by Greenpeace. There's definitely a lot of false information out there regarding nuclear power.

I never thought I'd see the Left defending the single biggest corporate tax dodge in Canadian history.

LOL!

I got a kick out of it too. Of course it depends on which Left you're talking about. Judy wanted a freeze on conversions, but, you know, once the damage was done... Tough to say for sure but I think that would have hurt the speculators (care loads) but might have given mom and pop a better shot at a graceful out if they needed it.

At one time I never thought I'd see the market trash roll over and play dead like that, but thankfully some things never get old.

Politicians are hypocrites. You have to be one to step on everyone to get to the top. If you're that mad for power, there’s got to be something wrong with you.
The point about the Harper government is that it wasted time cancelling these good programs because the Liberals made them, then they brought out a really bad environmental plan, the so called Clean Air Act, then they had to go back to the drawing board and re-name the Liberal plans that they cancelled. That isn't good for this country. They should have kept the Liberal plans in the first place.
Yeah, it's kinda tough to recognize something that might be helpful when you have your head in the mud called partisan politics.

Not just time was wasted. Let's not forget the costs involved in shut down and startup. Those are BOTH expensive phases of any project.

I'm a minarchist, more than anything, and I'm not defending Harper, just pointing out that your heroes in the Liberal party aren't saints either...

Then if you are what you say you are you shouldn't have a problem with the program cuts. I said screw-ups, not policy decisions.

I emailed CMHC( Canadian mortgage and housing corp)--about info on a rehab home program --check out this reply --This probably should have a post on its own but

Good Afternoon Mr. xxx,

Thank you for your email.

The Government of Canada is developing a new made-in-Canada approach to climate change emphasizing new technologies developed in concert with the provinces and in coordination with other major industrial countries.
As a result, all climate change-related initiatives, including the EnerGuide for Low-Income Households (EGLIH) program, are being re-examined to ensure they achieve real results for Canada. Program delivery for EGLIH has been discontinued and therefore new applications for assistance under the program are no longer being processed.
