Yankees are entitled to deal with their prisoners in such fashion as they deem necessary. I do believe it was unwise of Yankees to treat Jihadists as “enemy combatants” rather than more humanely and honestly as prisoners of war. But we Cdns have no influence over that and should not be condemned for ignoring the fate of some Jihadist creep who should never have been allowed ANY association with Canada in the first place.

I believe that you are overlooking a considerable history of religious violence perpetrated by almost every religion toward groups that offended them. Certainly you can list numerous attacks by Muslims on others, but it is not difficult to find examples of other religious or even non-religious groups doing the same thing. Try googling Red Brigades and see what you get. Then follow it up with IRA terrorist incidents. Then try the KKK and White supremicist attacks in the USA. And just in case you think peace-loving Hindus are tolerant google Hindu attacks on Christians. And if you want to get historical there are thousands of examples of non-Muslim violence.
It is easy to cherry pick if you don't know the entire story and it is even easier to demonize an entire religious group for the actions of a very small minority of its members.
