Yeah, singer wise I should have included Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot and Leonard Cohen. It may be a generational thing but I don't see the same significance in popular Canadian songwriters before or after then. Cohen has a global influence that seems to grow with each passing year.

In classical music, Glenn Gould still looms large and in jazz there was Oscar Peterson.

Cohen is the real thing, good stuff. Lightfoot as well. I don't know much about music. A lot of it is great a lot of it I can't hear.

Still I think it's John Candy. Yes I'm sure of that. He was a comic genious two ways.
