Gotta love how the party faithful are willing to defend the indefensible. Party on! Harpo and the collective will be by any time now to collect their dues.

Yawn... we know who you vote for..

I love it when I suggest to people that Canada join the USA, they toss the USA's debt in my face... at least they have 350 million people to support the debt.

The debt per capita is not far off from Canada... a country with only 32 million people.

Most Government Debt per Person: Countries - Bloomberg Best (and Worst)

(oh here comes SAL)

What is important is not so much total spending but where the money is being spent. Infrastructure is a far better long term investment than social programs or the various diversification programs which are little more than expensive welfare programs.

Infrastructure also has social benefits. More bridges for the poor to live under!

WHere does the government say they are subsidizing the fossil fuel industry to the tune of 20 billion a year?

The ideologues say so... In this case, a guy that runs a blog says so

You prepared to return your monthly, direct subsidies?

Yeah, I thought not... In fact, lemme guess, that is your way of stickin' it to da man, right?

That's awesome. We know you and fact don't jive therefore you don't like my posts because your view of them is based on pure emotion.

An ideologue accusing others of being ideologues. Priceless. Facts are about as questionable as the truth. Picking a side is being an ideologue and there are unquestionably two entrenched sides on these forums.

If you would pay attention to something other than your bottom line, you would realize that there is a quiet revolution going on that will upset the capitalist apple cart. Hint: it ain't communism.

Quiet revolution?

If you anti-everything putzes gave your heads a shake you could be in a position of influence in the "evil corporate world".

If moonbats like Young held a big *** festival charging $150 a ticket (cheap by today's standard) X oh, let's say 30,000 attendees that's $ 4.5 Million.

Take that $4.5 and buy shares in Evil LLC as a collective and use your votes to try and change things from the inside out. Until then you're all just dogs barking at the moon.

For a quick fix, not enough.

What is quick fix? Massive infrastructure is long term and gets exports to markets. It's pretty cool that these projects are Lib and Con supported.
If you're daft enough to think not, would you mind explaining David Emerson for me?
