I suspect it could easily be done with a Dremel. After all they are used to engrave metal. But as I said and you have not been able to disprove the materials for high quality cannot be easily found. In fact it is quite easy to prove that they are.

It would be relatively simple to make those stamps from key stock. Hell, there are instructions on the internet for people to make coin stamping tools, all you need is access to some common machines, such as might be found in many high schools or tech colleges.

I see you have made your usual unintelligent reply. Making a small indentation in a coin is not pounding a nail through it. And from your comment about dies it appears that you think they are impossible to make. You also seem to think that tools to make them cannot be purchased.

How the hell do you think the marks on the coins were put there? By the Royal Mint? You really need to think before you spout out an answer.

Not quite that easy to make a good quality die. I doubt if any highschool has the equipment necessary to work tool steel. It is a little better grade than a Kia fender. Just the cutting head is worth around 4G. Then you still need the machine to turn it.
