One night later ~~~ Oz vs Kiwis and they are still in the first innings.
Oz declares @456 and Kiwis are already down a wicket in the first over.
Fun!

"Perhaps not God's sport, but cricket is certainly Royal Sport, YJ. And track and field? What kind of following does it have? Cricket probably has the widest following in the world, next only to soccer."
Royal 'sport'? Clear indication of the mental acuity of royalty.
What kind of following does track and field has? And/or is that an indication of its value? Track and field probably has far more followers than Gilbert and Sullivan.
Is cricket played in Canada and the States? If not, who the Hell cares?
ooohhhhh Well, you coulda said that to begin with. BOY!Geezus, I'm not talking about rugby; I'm talking "rugby" which is what kids called their game which was like Canadian football but with different rules. GIRL!
That was a pretty good match. And camaraderie at the end gives it a pretty grand finale.Watched the T20 IPL championship on youtube this morning. CSK > Mumbai by 22 runs (168-5 to 146-9). An exciting match which featured excellent defense by the Super Kings and what may have been an unwise batting order by the Indians - Kieron Pollard was placed late in the batting order where his batting did not impact as much as it would have if he had been batting at the top. A match that was far more exciting than MLB and it was for free unlike other cable or satellite broadcasts!
I have virtually no idea how it goes (seriously, you could just make rules up out of thin air and I'd never know the difference), but since it's a game I want to play.
Learning is part of the fun.
