Just because nobody describes god that way in the Bible doesn't mean he isn't that way. Read the book carefully, all of it, particularly the Old Testament.
I do read the Bible every day, Dex. I am currently reading through Isaiah and Psalms.

God's reported as being very nasty in Isaiah, threatening to kill all the men, have their wives ravished, their children dashed against rocks, destroying the world. He appears mean, and angry at everybody, and ready to use his power to do horrible things to anyone he can find.
Sounds to me like Isaiah is kissing ass cuz he is scared to death of the tyrant."I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses." (Isaiah 63:7, KJV)
But only after he's done a lot of damage."I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, ... KJV)
We can play this game indefinitely and get nowhere interesting or useful.

It is how I perceive the creative force that animates all life: it is non judgemental, unconditional love. Religion is man made nonesense, the so called holy books were written by men to control the masses. If you had any idea of the true history of the book you hold so dear, you would burn it and go seek your truth within your own soul.I am confused, Cliffy. Are you ascribing ultimate worth to Albert Einstein or Baruch Spinoza or both?
"The ones who hadn't read Spinoza didn't understand…"
and Jesus supposedly said, "the kingdom of god is within." You won't find it out there.
What a ridiculous idea. Nobody's suggested any such thing. Not Cliffy, not me, not Einstein, and not Spinoza, that's just your misreading of Cliffy's post #89.... that he is revered as a deity?
No, I do not know that. Why should anyone believe such a claim?“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own” (1 Corinthians 6:19)
What a ridiculous idea. Nobody's suggested any such thing. Not Cliffy, not me, not Einstein, and not Spinoza, that's just your misreading of Cliffy's post #89.
An ad hominem response would be saying you're ridiculous. I said the idea is ridiculous.Does ridicule qualify as an ad hominem response, Dex?
Seriously? You're a Trump supporter? If so, I am appalled. How any woman professing to be a Christian could support that jumped up ogre is beyond me.
