Just a small point here, the article said the uniform was incorrect, so I'm thinking a good lawyer (get up here Bones) could argue he wasn't impersonating anyone!

O damn clever.

Your honour, the fact that my uniform look so close to theirs was pure coincidence. Do you really think I'd be so stupid as to not shave the beard? I was dressed in the uniform of the Gervais militia.

That's correct. Trying to enforce this law opens up a whole can of worms. What about a kid wearing jeans and an army jacket? What about a veteran wearing his old uniform cap? What about people wearing uniforms on stage? What about a "street theatre" protest showing people dressed as soldiers killing women and children? What about historical uniforms? Foreign uniforms? Porno versions of uniforms? Halloween costume uniforms? How about that Belgian kid who dressed up in a Canadian WWI uniform to salute the Canadian soldiers passing by?

Hmmm. . . come to think of it, this could be a licence to print money! I recommend y'all pass a law making it a felony to "impersonate a member of the armed forces by wearing uniform items," and leave all the important terms undefined.

In the bush near Sudbury
When do we get to arrest and charge all the frauds representing themselves as government officials and Hydro reps from their call centres - where they can do a LOT more damage than a wannabe sergeant can ever do

Not much grace in being corrected eh.

how a narcissistic douchebag so-called lawyer might hypothetically answer that beautifully put bitch-slap retort, without notes, a preview pane or teleprompter:
