Unfrickin' real vid of the fire encroaching on the highway while people try to make their way out of town. I pray for all the folks whose lives are affected by this disastrous fire and for the weather to improve in the form of torrential rain.

Most residents were being urged to go to Noralta Lodge, 20 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, but with the Noralta filling up, newcomers were being sent on the Grey Wolf Lodge.

Gregoire residents are being asked to go to the Anzac Recreation Centre, south of Fort McMurray.

The province has closed Highway 63 and Highway 881 to Fort McMurray to all non-essential travel.

"All Albertans are watching this," said Premier Rachel Notley. "All Albertans are with the people of Fort McMurray."

Notley said she hopes to get up to Fort McMurray on Wednesday."
