Another Good use for leftover coffee. Cook a ham. And with the drippings make your gravy however you do yours. Then as you're wisking the gravy stir in a cup of the coffee. That's how you make redeye gravy.
Trying to think what kind of coffee my parents and grand parents drank back in east Texas during the great depression. Probably had to buy the beans and grind them somehow. They all loved coffee. Probably the only thing to drink besides water. I guess when I'd go to the store and buy a can of Folgers, that would be gormet coffee to them.

best coffee I've ever tasted, go figure, I've tried lots of different pots/coffee over the years,
none has tasted better.
