I think considering the $billions if not $trillions the Gov't benefits just from natural resources extracted out of the north (I know one woman who works in a diamond mine) they could return a small fraction of that money shipping food up there so it would be available at the same price as Winnipeg or Edmonton.

Will you douchebags just calm down now?

So wtf are we supposed to do about this exactly?

Ask yourself. You've posted articles about the solution but have no interest in boomtowns getting goodies for resource extraction and export you just bitched like 5 year old girl about the cost of Harper traveling to Iqaluit with zero acknowledgement of the deep water port that has to pass icky environmental crap first.

Iqaluit will one day be a major oil port.

It should be noted that people who live above the 60th also enjoy entitlements that most Canadians do not. For instance, if your kids are raised above the 60th (native or not) they are entitled to a government paid University education. I be;ieve they also get subsidized housing.
