I think the only reason Blatter resigned is that as President he would have to attend events with far more efficient extradition treaties with the U.S... like Canada.. as opposed the labarynthian system that exists in Switzerland. The tentacles of indictments are extending ever closer to his office exposing him as the concert master of the corruption. I doubt you'll see him travelling much in retirement.

Erm, we've won two World Cups.

The Hun cheated in probably at least two of those World Cup victories - most certainly in 1954 and probably in 2014.

You mean, like that crooked win that the American Women's team bought during the last Olympics? No cheating in FOOTBAL!
No no no!

You must follow the rules or you get penalized.

When you get penalized chances of getting scored on increases.

Then this happens....

The officiating was seriously bent and the only ones on the planet who believe that those were fair matches are the Americans. It was reminiscent of a judged figure skating event, it was so crooked.

If you break the rules you get penalized which is what happened.

If they had followed the rules they probably would have won the game.

Then you would not be so salty years later.

How much tax did they have to pay on the gold medal?

Never mind.

An athlete who wins gold at the 2014 Olympic Games under way in Sochi, Russia, stands in line to pay $10,000 to Uncle Sam.
The U.S. Olympic Commission awards cash prizes to Olympians who win a medal -- $25,000 for a gold, $15,000 for a silver and $10,000 for a bronze. But the money is considered earned income abroad and subject to IRS taxation.
“The only thing colder than the slopes at Sochi is the fact that any prizes awarded by the USOC will be taxed,” writes the group Americans for Tax Reform, which has calculated the federal tax that medal winners could face.
The price of gold: Taking first place in Olympics could cost US stars as much as $10G in taxes | Fox News

It was probably the Italian-American Mafia that bought those medals. They'd have had all sorts of control over that FIFA supplied officiating. That crooked Norwegian ref that swung the crucial game for the Yanks (leaving the soccer world quite perplexed to this day) was "disappeared" after that game and didn't referee or even show her face at any other games in that Olympics.

"Referee? ...Pederson? ...WHAT referee named Pederson?"

One of the Canadian girls said after the matched "Hey! that was rigged!" and everyone on earth, except for the Americans said "Unh hunh". Well, FIFA, that paragon of decency and sportsmanship were going to punish her for saying that and they made her publically apologize "if she knew what was good for her, capiche?"

USA! USA! USA!

Perhaps if the goalie wasn't cheating and holding on to the ball WAY beyond the 6 second rule they would not have lost the game.

Perhaps if the girl did not use her hand in front of the goal they would not have lost the game.

Alas they did both.

Good to see you so salty though.

She held on to the ball to kill time... she was warned... she ignored the warning... she got penalized.

And blocking with your arm in front of the net is a big NO NO.

lol.

And the whining after... so unbecoming.
