Tax cut for the rich shows Scheer is a Harper mini-me
Andrew Scheer's tax cuts for the rich echo years of failed economic policy under Harper.

The election is barely a week old and Canadians are already getting a good picture of what Conservative leader Andrew Scheer would offer as Prime Minister: little more than a policy mini-me of former Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Harper, who once said that he didn’t think there were any good taxes, had a simple answer to just about any social, environmental or economic issue outside of his priorities: give it a tax cut, usually followed by program spending cuts. Pressure to support the arts? Give artists a tax cut. Want to encourage children’s fitness? Introduce a tax credit. Support for public transit? Another tax credit. Encourage volunteerism? Yes, a tax credit for that, too.

September jobs report - 54,000 jobs. 456,000 new jobs this year so far.

Pretty tough to criticize the Liberals economically - but that won't stop the you know who's from trying.

Doug Ford has already taken the credit since most of those jobs came in Ontario.

Trudeau dons bulletproof vest for campaign event in Mississauga

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau took extraordinary safety precautions at a major election rally west of Toronto Saturday, donning an armoured vest and appearing with a heavy security detail because of a threat.
Liberal officials would not reveal the nature of the threat, which resulted in a 90-minute delay before the incumbent prime minister appeared before the roughly 2,000 party supporters who had turned out to a convention near Pearson airport as the election campaign enters its final week.
The armoured vest was not readily apparent as Trudeau delivered a 25-minute speech, in which the Liberal leader lashed out at the Conservatives for promising cuts to government spending before urging progressive voters against casting their ballots for the NDP.
But sources later confirmed to The Canadian Press that Trudeau, wore a suit jacket during the rally rather than his usual rolled-up sleeves and loosened tie, was wearing a vest, which was noticeable in photos taken at the event.
Trudeau’s extra security detail was obvious as the Liberal leader was escorted through the boisterous crowd by a large number of plainclothes RCMP officers as well as Mounties dressed in green tactical gear.
The police officers made a point of standing on the stage surveying the crowd while Trudeau spoke and remained close by his side after his speech as the Liberal leader shook hands with members of the crowd before leaving the room.
Prepared remarks had indicated that Trudeau’s wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, was to introduce the Liberal leader. She did not appear or take the stage during the rally.
The Peel Regional Police referred questions to the RCMP.
“For security reasons, we do not comment on security measures given to the prime minister,” RCMP spokeswoman Stephanie Dumoulin said in email.
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh tweeted his concerns.
“Any threat made against @JustinTrudeau, or any leader, is troubling to all of us,” he wrote. “No matter how you vote or believe, no one should face threats of violence. To the officers who protect all of us — thank you.”
Liberals had been hoping Saturday’s rally would see Trudeau make a mark in the vote-rich Toronto-area, where the party needs to have a strong showing to have any hope of again forming government.
Prior to Trudeau’s appearance, both Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland and Economic Development Minister Navdeep Bains addressed the crowd, some of whose members began to express impatience over the Liberal leader’s unexplained delay taking the microphone.
And while the crowd cheered Trudeau’s remarks, the delay and later news of a security threat threatened to cast a pall over the event and detract from the Liberal leader’s warnings about the potential threat of a Conservative government under Andrew Scheer.
The Liberals will hope to get back on track Sunday when Trudeau campaigns in the Toronto area as the federal election campaign heads into its final week with the Liberals and Conservatives running neck and neck with the New Democrats and Bloc Quebecois also picking up some steam.

Post office loophole handcuffs drug cops

By Joe Warmington

Published: September 25, 2019, Updated: September 26, 2019 12:16 PM EDT

Filed Under: Toronto SUN News/ Toronto & GTA

Have drug store post office boxes become today’s drug mule?

Yes, says the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP,) highlighting a loophole in federal law that means junkies can go to their local pharmacy featuring Canada Post services and get their fix.

(I have commented on this situation before as it has existed pretty much since the days of prime minister Pierre Trudope!! But public anger and the social issues generated by drug addiction and fentanyl have now pushed discussion into the political main stream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

No prescription. All the traffickers need is a stamp. All pushers and addicts need is a key.

Not for antibiotics, high blood pressure pills or Viagra — but the illegal hard stuff.

“Fentanyl and Carfentanil are being shipped through Canada Post,” said Abbotsford Police Chief Mike Serr, also the co-chair of the CACP’s Drug Advisory Committee.

Police are handcuffed.

“We can search for packages of drugs being couriered through private delivery companies but protections Canada Post have in the act do not allow us to get an in-transit search warrant to open up those boxes,” said Serr.

“It’s frustrating.” It’s also whacked out!

(LIE-berals have long held the belief that parcels BELOW a certain size cannot be opened at the Post Office and MUST be delivered - with contraband usually being dropped into a rented mail box!! Cops who suspect that parcel contains something contraband - must then STAKE OUT the box for days or weeks until somebody comes to pick it up!! If the cops get called away to another shooting and miss the pick up - TO BAD - start the investigation OVER AGAIN from the beginning!!!!)

It has to change. The CACP put forward a resolution in 2015 to urge the government to change the Canada Post Act to allow search powers.

Right now they have none.

“If a package makes it through inspections by Canada Post, the RCMP and the Canadian Border Services Agency, all of whom do an outstanding job of stopping many, then it goes into the regular mail system,” said Serr.

“There are so many packages that some are going to get through, and the traffickers are not worried about losing an envelope here or there, knowing they have this loophole to get many through.”

(As I have said before -one way to reduce gun violence is to tighten the border!! Gun parts can be mailed across the border as easily as drugs!! As it stands now - only one percent of shipping containers crossing the border are ever opened or inspected!! Yet idiot LIE-berals still insist they are tough on crime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

It means the postal workers handle it, the trucks deliver it and the postie puts it into the box.

“Packages of drugs can sit in a box for months until someone comes and claims it,” said Serr.

Sometimes runners are “paid $50 to pick up an envelope” or somebody unwittingly collects it.

However it goes, it’s a slick way of getting hardcore narcotics from China or other foreign sources to Canadian drug users.

This was brought to my attention by Steve Smith, of Caledon, who lost his beloved stepdaughter to a drug overdose.

He wants this to end.

“No one should say goodbye to a child. Tens of thousands of people are dying, families are heartbroken and live with this sorrow every day,” he explained.

He’s disappointed it’s not an issue on the federal election campaign.

“Our government should be doing everything possible to keep these deadly drugs out of Canada. Not making it easier,” said Smith.

((BUT WHY are LIE-berals not doing more to end this idiot loophole?? Shall we say IT IS MORE SHAMELESS VOTE BUYING?? LIE-berals are sucking up to poor innocent addicts and sucking up to the poverty pimps who enable them and sucking up to the groups in society that PROFIT from drug sales and sucking up to the civil service union HOGS who keep LIE-berals in power - IN EXCHANGE FOR GRAVY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

(In the month of September, 2019, 54,000 full time jobs were created in Canada - with 49,000 of them being for CIVIL SERVICE UNION HOGS!! LIE-berals are pulling the same filthy trick as all other SOCIALIST DICTATORS!! They are buying citizen Loyalty with JOBS - and we only have to look at Argentina or Venezuela to know how that ends !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

(As I have said before - I DO BELIEVE LIE-berals have made a choice - that jailing people CUTS TOO DEEPLY into their supply of vote buying gravy!! LIE-berals have made an UGLY CHOICE about public safety and lust for power!!!!!!!)
“That loophole should be closed today. It’s really not too much to ask for. Is it?”

(Cops are often HOSTILE to LIE-beral hug a thug policy and thus are NOT strong supporters and thus LIE-berals IGNORE cop desires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

It’s insane that the postal service is being utilized to marshal billions in profit for organized crime while feeding drug habits.

(But Posties have a LONG HISTORY of supporting LIE-berals so how can LIE-berals restrict postal service?? LIE-berals are focussed on ways to MAKE MORE WORK for Posties - AND GET THEM MORE GRAVY as well - thus a few little bags of drugs are not a big deal for LIE-berals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Both Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) are rightfully concerned.

“The growing and devastating toll that illicit opioid use is taking on Canadians and communities is of great concern to Canada Post. No responsible person or organization wants anything to do with the distribution of these deadly substances,” said Canada Post in a statement.

(Ring around the Rosy- WHO gets the blame?? This is a stupid LIE-beral game and people are dying and huge govt debts are run up while LIE-berals seek votes!)

“With nearly 300 million parcels moving through Canada Post’s network in a year, it is arguably predictable that some criminals use the postal service to ship these illicit drugs. Beyond our moral and legal duties to keep employees safe and to prevent illegal use of the mail, our employees work in neighbourhoods where opioid use is widespread. They see some of its impact on Canadian streets. They care – and so do we.”

They say they are working “closely” with police.

Meanwhile, CUPW said that “safety talks were held across the country to help workers better understand fentanyl, reduce their risk of exposure as well as the steps to take in case of accidental exposure.”

(In other words -THE ONLY ACTION being taken is to protect Posties from accidental exposure to the fentanyl they are delivering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Life-saving naloxone is now in the workplace. Perhaps they should put some at those post boxes as well?

Serr had the best solution:

Amend the act immediately to allow police to shut down this sneaky method of running deadly drugs.

(And that WILL NOT HAPPEN as it has been going on for decades and LIE-berals are apparently satisfied with the status quo!! Should we guess that LIE-berals are SO DESPERATE for more gravy they are willing to let Posties become drug mules?? Sure LOOKS THAT WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

GAFFE-PRONE TRUDEAU: A look back at his most embarrassing moments
Aidan Wallace
Published:
October 15, 2019
Updated:
October 15, 2019 2:28 PM EDT
As the blackface scandal erupted during the federal election, Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau declared his life of “privilege” left him with a “blindspot” to certain racist acts. On at least three separate occasions, Trudeau dressed up in blackface. This questionable judgment has stayed with the gaffe-prone Trudeau since he became prime minister in 2015. His time in office is riddled with embarrassing moments.
BLACKFACE
This combination photo shows the instances of Trudeau in blackface. The bottom right shows a screengrab from a video confirmed by Global News to be Trudeau in blackface.
Trudeau showed a penchant for dressing up in blackface. At the age of 29 he was photographed at a school function — where he was a teacher — with darkened skin. On another occasion where he dressed in blackface for a canoe trip, his entire body appears to be covered in dark makeup.
INDIA TRIP
Images of Trudeau’s visit to India with his family. AFP/Getty Images
Trudeau loves to dress up. Nowhere, perhaps, was that more evident than during the now-infamous Trudeau family India trip in 2018.
The prime minister drew widespread criticism for wearing overt and flashy Indian clothing despite being photographed with many of India’s political elite who merely wore suits.
THE ‘KOKANEE GROPE’
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Ian Kucerak / Postmedia Network
In August of 2000, the Creston Valley Advance wrote an editorial Trudeau had “groped” and engaged in “inappropriate handling” of one of the female reporters covering the Kokanee Summit music festival. The paper quotes Trudeau as saying to the reporter a day after the incident: “I’m sorry. If I had known you were reporting for a national paper I would never have been so forward.”
In 2018, and in the era of #MeToo, Trudeau again apologized but said the reporter may have experienced the encounter differently.
FIDEL CASTRO
Justin Trudeau hugs Cuba’s Fidel Castro in October 2000. Trudeau has been criticized for his praise of the now-dead communist dictator. Montreal Gazzette/Pierre Obendrauf
After his death in late 2016, Trudeau lauded Castro as a “remarkable leader” and a “larger-than-life leader who served his people for almost half a century.”
JOSHUA BOYLE
Justin Trudeau meets with the Boyle family on Parliament Hill in late 2017. Boyle and his family were held in captivity in Afghanistan for five years. Boyle was charged in January 2018 and is currently on trial. He has pleaded not guilty to all 19 charges, including sexually assaulting and forcibly confining his wife. Twitter
It was a story that grabbed headlines around the world. Canadian Joshua Boyle, his American wife Caitlan Coleman and their three children were released after years of being held by the Taliban. Not missing an opportunity for a photo op, pictures of Trudeau meeting with the family in the PMO were tweeted out. Ten days after the photo was issued, Boyle was arrested in Ottawa and charged with unlawful confinement and sexual assault against his wife.
LAVSCAM

Trudeau has marketed himself as a feminist and an ally to Canada’s indigenous people.
Yet Trudeau expelled former attorney general Jody Wilson-Raybould from the Liberal caucus in 2019 after she refused to grant a deferred prosecution agreement to SNC-Lavalin, a Montreal-based engineering company that faced criminal charges of corruption and fraud.
Mario Dion, the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner, concluded in his early 2019 report that Trudeau violated the Conflict of Interest Act by wrongfully pressuring Wilson-Raybould.
Trudeau’s response: “I fully accept this report … I take full responsibility.”
The response rang hollow as Trudeau ultimately disagreed with the report’s key findings, saying he would not apologize for defending Canadians jobs.
Jane Philpott, a trusted cabinet minister of Trudeau’s, resigned from her position as president of the Treasury Board citing the Trudeau government’s handling of the SNC-Lavalin scandal.
Both Wilson-Raybould and Philpott are now running for re-election as independents.
CELINA CAESAR-CHAVANNES
MP Celina Caesar-Chavannes is pictured during question period in the House of Commons on May 25, 2018. (The Canadian Press)
The term “fake feminist” trended for days after Trudeau announced former Liberal MP Celina Caesar-Chavennes would leave his caucus to sit as an independent.
Speaking to the Globe and Mail, Chavennes said Trudeau became hostile towards her when she told him she won’t be running again.
“He was yelling. He was yelling that I didn’t appreciate him, that he’d given me so much,” Chavennes told the Globe.
ELBOW-GATE
MP Ruth Ellen Brosseau grabs her chest after being elbowed by Justin Trudeau in a House of Commons fracas. (Screengrab)
In May of 2016, Trudeau was annoyed opposition MPs were delaying the final reading of a bill before Parliament to allow physician-assisted death.
NDP MPs were blocking Conservative MP Gord Brown from getting to his seat. Seeing this, Trudeau marched down the aisle, grabbed Brown by his arm to navigate him through the crowd and allegedly yelled “get the f*** out of my way.”
During the chaotic moment, Trudeau elbowed NDP MP Ruth Ellen Brosseau in the chest. She missed the vote, and Trudeau later apologized.
“DRINK BOX WATER BOTTLE THINGS?”
The Trudeau government announced a ban on single-use plastics by 2021.
When asked by the media during a mid-2019 press conference what Trudeau himself has been doing to cut back on plastics, his response was nearly unintelligible.
After struggling to articulate an answer, he said he and his family have switched from plastic water bottles to “drink box water bottle things.”
“THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATION”
At a Liberal fundraiser, First Nations activists were forced out after interrupting the event to bring attention to the issue of mercury water poisoning in Grassy Narrows.
“Thank you very much for your donation tonight, I really appreciate the donation to the Liberal Party of Canada,” Trudeau said as the activists were led out, all while receiving applause from the crowd.
While Trudeau did apologize for his remarks, he received widespread criticism for his comments.
TWO ETHICS VIOLATIONS
Justin Trudeau and the billionaire Aga Khan in 2016. Twitter
Trudeau has violated the Conflict of Interest Act twice since he became prime minister in 2015.
In the first instance, Mary Dawson, federal ethics commissioner, ruled Trudeau violated ethics rules in 2017 after having accepted a vacation on billionaire Aga Khan’s island in the Bahamas.
Trudeau admitted to using Khan’s private helicopter and did not disclose his friendship with the billionaire to the conflict of interest commissioner.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau speaks with then Minister of Justice Jody Wilson-Raybould during a swearing-in ceremony at Rideau Hall Nov. 4, 2015, in Ottawa. CHRIS WATTIE / AFP / Getty Images
His second ethics violation occurred when ethics commissioner Mario Dion’s 2019 report found Trudeau violated the Conflict of Interest Act for his conduct in the SNC-Lavalin scandal.
The report claimed Trudeau pressured former attorney general Jody Wilson-Raybould to arrange a sweetheart deal for SNC-Lavalin so the engineering company could avoid prosecution on bribery and corruption charges.
PATRIOT ACT
Comedian Hasan Minhaj grills Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. (Netflix/YouTube)
Appearing on an episode of Netflix’s Patriot Act, Trudeau was grilled by host Hasan Minhaj on Lavscam, climate change policy, selling weapons to Saudi Arabia and more.
In one segment called “Finish the sentence,” Minhaj asked Trudeau a few softball questions before asking him to finish the sentence: “Canada will not sell any weapons to Saudi Arabia, period.”
Trudeau sat in silence before saying, “That’s a good statement.”
Minhaj went on to say the Candian government has had nine months to examine the contract, joking it only takes three months to study for the LSAT, and invited him to announce the arms deal was cancelled then and there.
Trudeau responded: “We take our legal responsibilities and the breaking of contracts very seriously in this country.”
GLOBAL SHOW
Justin Trudeau, right, answers questions from two girls and Jessi Cruickshank (Facebook) New Mom, Who Dis?/Facebook
As if no lessons were learned from the Netflix Patriot Act appearance, Trudeau did an October 2019 interview with Jessi Cruickshank for an online show that was posted to Facebook.
In the interview, Cruickshank invites several children to ask Trudeau questions. Two young twins asked Trudeau: “Why did you paint your face brown?”
Letting out an “Oooooh,” Trudeau responded by saying: “It was something I shouldn’t have done because it hurt people.” The twins remained silent.
He filled the silence with a long, drawn-out apology.
Cruickshank also has Trudeau answer policy questions while holding a baby, which Trudeau obliged.
TWO-PLANE TRUDEAU
Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau has been using two planes on the campaign trail, a 737-800 chartered from Air Transat and this gas-guzzling Boeing 737-200 cargo freighter. (Conservative.ca)
For all of Trudeau’s rhetoric about saving the environment, it was a shock for many to learn the prime minister’s re-election campaign has not one but two airplanes, one for staff and the other for cargo.
The cargo plane, as reported by the Toronto Sun, is a 1960s Boeing 737-200 cargo freighter and is considered one of the “least efficient and worst polluting airliners in current service.”
Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer labelled Trudeau during the Oct. 2 French-language debate as a “climate hypocrite” for having two planes.
Amusingly, an unofficial parody Twitter account emerged soon after taking on the persona of Trudeau’s cargo plane, tweeting out where the plane is flying while making jokes about carrying around the PM’s costumes and how much gas is burned per trip.
In response, Trudeau has stated that the Liberal Party is buying carbon offsets to neutralize the CO2 emissions pumped out by trips from the planes.
OMAR KHADR
Omar Khadr leaves Court of Queen’s Bench in Edmonton on March 25, 2019 after a judge declared his sentence expired. (Ian Kucerak/Postmedia) Ian Kucerak Ian Kucerak / Ian Kucerak/Postmedia
Canadian-born Omar Khadr was taken to Afghanistan when he was young by his al-Qaida-affiliated father.
Khadr was detained by the U.S. and pleaded guilty to killing 28-year-old U.S. army medic Christopher Speer. He spent 10 years in Guantanamo Bay.
Khadr appealed the conviction so he could be repatriated to Canada.
He then sued the Canadian government for rights infringements and the lawsuit was settled when the federal government paid out $10.5 million to Khadr and also issued a formal apology to him in 2017.

KINSELLA: Why I can't vote Liberal on Oct. 21
Warren Kinsella
Published:
October 15, 2019
Updated:
October 15, 2019 3:05 PM EDT
I was Jean Chretien’s special assistant. I helped oversee his war room when he won in 1993 and 2000. I ran for the Liberals in B.C. in 1997.
And I can’t vote Liberal. I won’t. And I don’t think you should either.
Here’s why.
People vote for (or against) politicians for different reasons. In 2015, they voted for Justin Trudeau because he wasn’t Stephen Harper, who they’d grown tired of.
They voted for Trudeau because he was fresh and new and charismatic. Because he had his father’s surname. Because we (me especially) thought he’d be different.
They voted for him because he promised ethical and accountable government. They voted for him because he promised electoral reform, and balanced budgets, and harmonious relations with First Nations and the provinces and the world.
And now, many Canadians are voting against him because he didn’t do any of those things. He did the exact reverse.
GAFFE-PRONE TRUDEAU: A look back at his most embarrassing moments
GOLDSTEIN: Desperate Trudeau needs NDP voters to keep his job
WARREN: Justin Trudeau deserves another shot - here’s why
He lied about balanced budgets and electoral reform. He didn’t deliver on harmony with other levels of government, First Nations and the provinces, and important international players — like China and the U.S. and India — think he’s a child.
And ethics? That didn’t work out so well, either. He’s the first sitting prime minister to have been found guilty of breaking ethics laws — in the Aga Khan and Lavscam scandals. In the latter case, the RCMP have said they are now reviewing the conduct of Trudeau’s government “carefully.” Some people may go to jail.
But for this writer — who happily voted for Liberal Nate Erskine-Smith in the Toronto Beach riding in 2015 — I can’t vote again for the Trudeau Party, which bears no resemblance to the Liberal Party of John Turner and Jean Chretien and Paul Martin. I can’t vote for it because it isn’t a political party.
It’s a cult.
It bears all the hallmarks of a cult. Slavish and unquestioning devotion to the leader. The willingness to punish and isolate critics and outsiders.
The fundamental belief that they are everything — in Trudeau’s case, that the Liberal Party is Canada, and vice versa. If you are against them, you are literally against Canada. That’s what they think.
Along with running some campaigns (winning and losing), I’ve written books about politics. Along the way, I’ve learned that people vote based on emotion, not reason.
In my case, my reasons for objecting to the Trudeau cult are deeply personal and real. I have written about, and opposed, racism for more than three decades. I am also a proud father of an indigenous girl.
How can I look my daughter in the eye and say I voted Liberal, after what Trudeau did to the female indigenous hero named Jody Wilson-Raybould? After he attacked her and exiled her for telling the truth? For saying no to a group of grasping men? For standing up for the rule of law?
I can’t do that.
How, too, can I vote for a man-boy who donned racist blackface — not once, not twice, but at least three times that we know about — and still say I fight racism? How can I claim to be against bigotry when I legitimize the bigotry of a clueless, overprivileged brat with my vote?
Politicians like to say that elections are about choices, because they are. They also are choices that are highly emotional and highly personal. Emotionally, personally, rationally, I cannot bring myself to vote for this loathsome cult.
And, with the greatest respect, I don’t know how you could either.

EDITORIAL: Trudeau's lack of humility may redirect some votes
Postmedia News
Published:
October 16, 2019
Updated:
October 17, 2019 2:01 PM EDT
Liberal leader and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau campaigns for the upcoming election at the Musee de la nature et des sciences, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, October 16, 2019. (REUTERS/Stephane Mahe)
A recent spread in the Sun papers offered a rogues’ gallery of all the missteps by the Liberal government. Although there was only one rogue featured – Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau.
It took a full two pages to list all of the incumbent PM’s most notorious gaffes and there were many others, we’re told, that didn’t make the cut for space reasons. It’s quite a list!
Most Canadians can list off Trudeau’s stumbles like they can the tracks on the greatest hits album of their favourite band.
India trip. Kokanee grope. Lavscam. Blackface. Drink-box water bottle things.
We could go on and – speaking of greatest hits – if we did it would start sounding like a Billy Joel song.
Hey, don’t blame us. We didn’t start the fire. It’s Justin Trudeau who bears responsibility for each and every one of these blunders.
While Trudeau has only been in office for a single four year term, he wears the baggage of someone who has been around way too long.
No politician vying to be the leader of this country right now has perfectly clean track record. Each of them has a handful of minor or major gaffes to their name. But none of them rival what’s been chalked up by Trudeau.
Here’s the question the voters need to ask themselves right now: If Justin Trudeau is re-elected Prime Minister, will these gaffes suddenly come to a halt? Or will the tally continue to rise?
There is no reason to think they’ll stop. That’s for two reasons. The first one is simple: It seems that this sort of poor judgment is in Trudeau’s nature.
But, more importantly, it seems as if Trudeau has not learned from his mistakes and does not even believe he screwed up on these files.
When it comes to Lavscam, he denies any wrongdoing, despite the ethics commissioner ruling against him. Regarding the Kokanee grope, he dismisses it as women experiencing things differently. On the blackface scandal, it’s portrayed as a societal issue instead of what it is – Trudeau’s problem.
Perhaps there are those who would have voted to re-elect Trudeau but are taking a pass this time around because he has no humility. If he is booted from office, it’ll be of his own making.

It was just before 7 o'clock on a Thursday morning last month.

First thought?

"My son's coming to work early today."

Battersby runs an excavating company from the farm with his son, Evan.

This first thought vanished when a Jeep Cherokee drove right past him and parked at his gas tanks. A Chevy pickup with a gooseneck trailer followed in tight behind it.

Then, another racket and there's a Volkswagen Jetta "burning into the yard" pulling up the rear.

Second thought?

"Did Evan give somebody permission to get gas, or are they lost?"

Battersby says the second thought vanished when he yelled at the driver from the Jeep Cherokee and then made clear eye contact. He doesn't believe that, until he yelled, he had even been noticed standing there.

"A that point, I knew that this is not good," he said.

"So I turned and I run into the shop and I'm thinking, 'What do I do?' Because my mom lives over there, she's 85 years old, she's in the house over there. My wife's up in the house, she doesn't know nothing what's going on. I'm thinking, 'What do I do?' You know, he sees me now, are they gonna come and get me? So I'm looking around, I grab a piece of pipe. 'No,' I think, 'No, I don't want to go to jail today.' "
'If someone is coming after you, what do you do?'

It's close to a month later and Carson Battersby, 61, is still haunted by what happened in his farmyard, near Big Shell, about 144 kilometres north of Saskatoon.

Carson Battersby at his farm that was invaded by a convoy of stolen trucks and cars.

(Well -if you are going to steal the vehicles I guess you might as well steal fuel as well?? But it begs the question - HOW BRAZEN are the thieves??????????)

In his shop, with his mother in one house and his wife in another, he set down the pipe and bolted from the outbuilding and made it to his house, about 60 metres away.

The first call was to his son, 'They're in the yard stealing,'

The second call was to the RCMP detachment 20 minutes away in Spiritwood.

Evan Battersby lives about a kilometre away. He arrived in his truck just as the convoy left the property onto the grid road, and he gave chase.

Carson got on the line with the RCMP.

"The first thing they say, 'Have you got any weapons?' And we got no weapons. And they said go hide, go in the house, lock the doors — like a coward."

(“Coward” is a harsh word to describe a careful reaction to criminal madness!!!!!)

Battersby says he still feels paralyzed by the choices he faced that morning. The Volkswagen and Jeep Cherokee made it out of his muddy yard, but the pick-up truck and trailer were jammed between the elevated gas tanks and his mother's house on the edge of his property.

"He's trying to back up with the goose neck trailer right there and he's ripping and tearing and spinning and jackknifing," he recalled.

"And I'm thinking, they're stuck right by my mom's house. I'm thinking are they gonna get out? Are they gonna go in my mom's house, while I'm cowering in my house? And it's just mayhem. "

The driver eventually revved the truck and trailer out of the mud and escaped across a field.

'It's scary, we're on our own'

(YES - courtesy if LIE-beral hug a thug judges and shameless vote buying - we ARE ON OUR OWN!! We are condemned if we defend ourselves and our property and are shamed when we find we can be robbed WITH IMPUNITY!!!!!!)

Battersby has lived in the Big Shell area his entire life. He knows the back roads, the hills and the hollows, the sounds of the countryside.

"I haven't had a good night's sleep for two weeks, three weeks," he said. "The furnace kicks in. You're jumping up, running and looking out the window, opening the door. Listening."

(Since nobody has yet been convicted for this - we do not know if this is brazen activity by natives who have been emboldened by LIE-beral CRAP about systemic racism and white privilege but with three vehicles involved, it suggests GROUP planning and organization!! Or maybe TRIBAL organization??????????????)

Battersby knows that time will eventually bring back a sense of normalcy, but the fundamental questions raised by the farmyard invasion will linger.

"I will be going to jail if I defend myself. I know that, so I'm screwed," he said.

"If someone is coming after you, what do you do? If there's one guy, OK, you got a chance. But when you're an old guy like me and you got five, six — there was nine people in my yard at one point –it's scary. We're on our own."

(Yeah- 9 people - definitely a GANG ACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

RCMP say the events at Battersby's farm were part of a larger series of incidents in the area at the same time.

(OH?? There were other such brazen assaults in the area?? No wonder rural dwellers are OUTRAGED at LIE-berals!! Bad enough that Our idiot Boy has told city dwellers that “we cannot arrest our way out of this situation” - but at least city gang bangers only attack each other!! Farmers really are on their own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

'Secure the safety of yourself and family'

On Sept. 12, RCMP sent out a crime watch advisory concerning the theft of two trucks and a car from the Spiritwood area. The advisory added that "the suspects in the vehicles may be in possession of firearms."

(Ah - so Battersby was RIGHT to go HIDE from probable gunfire in retaliation if he tried to intervene and prevent the theft of his gas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

RCMP spokesperson Jessica Cantos says it proved to be a complex investigation involving detachments at Spiritwood, Big River and the Ahtahkakoop First Nation, multiple crime scenes and numerous possible suspects.

RCMP eventually arrested three suspects. Two women from the Pelican Lake First Nation and a man from Saskatoon face charges that include possessing stolen property, dangerous driving and resisting arrest.

(Uh huh - so PROBABLY IS NATIVE CRAP!! And will the thugs be sent to a Healing Lodge to recover from the shock being arrested for their crimes?? LIE-berals DO SO ENJOY EXCUSING thugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

They range in age from their early 20s to mid-40s. All three will return to provincial court in Prince Albert and on the Ahtahkakoop First Nation later this month.

Cantos says the RCMP is aware of the concerns of people who live in rural Saskatchewan, and has advice for people who find intruders on their property.

"Secure the safety of yourself and family first and foremost," she said in an interview, then call 911 when in a safe location and, if possible, observe and record as many details of the incident as possible.

Finally, she says, avoid confrontation if possible.

Cantos says RCMP would not elaborate on what it meant to "secure the safety of yourself and family."

"It's a complex question that has a lot of moving parts and takes a lot of variables and circumstances," she said. "That's best left to legal experts to discuss."

(Yeah- great!! And who discusses how it feels to be made to cower in your own home as thieves pillage like unpaid extras in a Gibson film?????????????????)

(RCMP naturally CANNOT advocate for self defense - but it is hugely unfortunate that LIE-berals see nothing to worry them as thieves rampage!! It would make a LOT OF CDNS FEEL BETTER - if some judge threw the book at any people who are convicted for this truly brazen daylight assault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

(But of course THAT WONT HAPPEN!! For one thing- people who run in gangs make a habit of offering ALIBIS for each other - making conviction more difficult!! Secondly - LIE-beral hug a thug judges ADAMANTLY AVOID any response resembling VENGEANCE for evil doers - no matter how truly deserving the convicted are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

(LIE-berals would rather have us COWERING in our homes -than take any action that might lose them votes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

KINSELLA: Why Trudeau's popularity is plummeting

Justin Trudeau is less popular than Donald Trump.
Say it aloud, so that those still considering voting for Trudeau can hear you.
Because, you know, Donald Trump. The most sexist, most racist, most dishonest U.S. president is more highly regarded than the Canadian prime minister. That’s hard to do, but Justin Trudeau has done it.
As far back as March, Trump was doing better than Trudeau. In that month, Ipsos found Trump’s approval rating was 43%. Trudeau’s was 40%.
Justin Trudeau’s blindspot on Quebec and Bill 21: 10/3 podcast
In August, it got even worse. Zogby Analytics revealed that Trump had an approval rating of 51%. Trudeau was “underwater,” Zogby reported, at 43%.
And Toronto Sun pollster John Wright, of DART, has analyzed the data and come up with the same conclusion as the others. “Trudeau’s personal approval numbers are below Trump’s,” says Wright. “So more selfies won’t help.”
And therein lies the rub. Wright has put his finger on the zeitgeist: This election isn’t remotely about issues. It’s a referendum on Trudeau. And he’s been losing it.
What went wrong? How is Trudeau — once the darling of international media, the beneficiary of Trudeaumania II, and the guy who propelled his party from a parliamentary third place to first — now facing what HuffPo’s Althia Raj, no less, has declared the “possibility he won’t be prime minister much longer.” How did that happen?
Three reasons. The first: He over-promised and under-delivered.
Trudeau did that a lot. On electoral reform, on balanced budgets, on ethical reform, on being the feminist champion and the indigenous reconciler: In every case, he promised the Earth but delivered only dust.
Trudeau’s true legacy is seen in the Lavscam scandal, where he obliterated his credentials as the ethical paragon and liberator of women and indigenous peoples. There, he cravenly tried to rescue a Quebec-based Liberal Party donor facing a corruption trial — and, along the way, revealed himself more than willing to brutalize two women, one indigenous, who bravely stood up for the rule of law.
Second reason: He thinks he’s far more charming and entertaining than he actually is.
Some time ago, a member of Trudeau’s insular inner circle told this writer that one of their biggest problems was Trudeau’s unshakeable belief that he is funny. “He thinks he’s a comedian,” said this man. “He isn’t.”
Thus, making blackface his go-to party favour. Thus, his puerile penchant for dress-up, even when it humiliates Canadians, as in the infamous Griswolds-style Indian vacation. Thus, his utterly bizarre penchant for making jokes — remember “peoplekind?” — that aren’t merely jokes. They’re jokes that render him one.
The third and final reason that Trudeau is less popular than Trump is neatly, and expertly, mirrored in the Conservative Party’s shrewd attack ad slogan: “Justin Trudeau. Not as advertised.”
GOLDSTEIN: Obama the hypocrite endorses Trudeau
LILLEY: Trudeau attacks Kenney and Ford while trolling for Quebec votes
EDITORIAL: Trudeau's lack of humility may redirect some votes
That pithy catchphrase, more than anything else, is why Trudeau is plumbing the polling depths, even more than Trump. Canadians have grown to believe that the former drama teacher is, indeed, just an actor.
Donald Trump, as detestable as he is to so many, is at least truthful about who he is. He doesn’t hide it.
Justin Trudeau, meanwhile, wears blackface to parties.
Because he’s never as comfortable as when he is wearing a mask.

Oh, and did I mention he is saying that the Tories hired Kinsella to "seek and destroy" his party?

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice denying climate change.
