I don' listen to much radio now,but in 1965 ish all you could get here was ****ry "music" so we'd go the the highest spot and tune in 77 WABC,the Cousin Brucie show, they played rock n roll.

There's a radio on almost every waking hour here at Chateau Sinister, and it's always CBC, can't beat it for news and information and intelligent, interesting, and entertaining, programming like Q, Quirks and Quarks, Tapestry, As It Happens, The Sunday Edition, Cross Country Checkup, DNTO, The Vinyl Cafe, The Debaters, The Irrelevant Show, Ideas, Writers and Company, etc. Commercial radio where I live is a wasteland of bad music, parochial news, and ignorant right wing talk radio, with one exception. When I'm on the road or working in the wood shop or just don't want to have to focus and think hard, I'll tune in CHAB in Moose Jaw. It's classic rock radio, the music of my youth. It's also a better source of local agricultural news than CBC.

Until 7 p.m., when it switches to U.S.-based Bible Belt crap.

re belt driven radio
lets see if I have this straight:
hate gays
send money
vote conservative
use paid programming because the holy spirit is low watt
(remember when the US used to export well made items?)

I think I got it
but I miss the days when all you needed was a diode and some wire and a roll of toilet paper to get that ol time religion

Also hate liberals, and Liberals, and atheists, agnostics, humanists, intellectuals, scientists, philosophers, free thinkers, and generally anyone who disagrees with them about anything, because they of course couldn't possibly be wrong.

And I'm sure you can still get that ol' time religion on a primitive crystal radio set.
