Maybe most of that, however, is just token. I sure wish Ontario would start throwing some muscle around to protect provincial jursdictions.

Why it was social programs and infrastructure for everybody, how selfish.  I for one could keep the taxes where they are, as long as they are used as they should be, and not wasted.

They also intend to spend (waste) it on corporate subsidies for the auto sector. That is priceless coming from the NDP. Of course, Jack is just trying to buy back support from the union leadership. We wouldn't need so many damn social programs if the government would just keep their grubby hands off our money.
Well, at least the Auto workers Union boss had a reality check and is supporting the Liberal Party....the party most of the membership actually votes for. In Quebec the Labour parties never endorse the NDP. Gee whiz. Tells you something about the lapsed focus of the party on the working man and farmer. It's now the party of Jack Layton and Svend Robinson.

The fact is that if the corporations want the money, they have to create the jobs and develop the technology. The Liberals and Conservatives have a long record of handing over money with no strings attached. The money then flees and the jobs never materialise.

 Corporations don't pay tax anyway Rev. It is just a cost of business - passed on to consumers. People pay taxes, though, on corporate income distributed to share holders, through capital gains tax etc... It all gets taxed in the end.
