PEI...for now
At least on the bright side, the cache will now not be used in the current conflict.

:? I wonder if these weapons were some the ones that were stolen at the beginning of the invasion when all the oil facilities were being protected instead??

The rocket that shot down the plane and started the Rwandan genocide was recovered by the French and turned over to the Americans during the first Gulf War.

Thank you, Jo, for looking on the bright side (which no one else seems to do). This is about the 40th cache they have found. Was anyone even aware of that?

Those were American mortar rounds. The U.S. sold them to Iraq. These mortar rounds were not prohibited weapons. Quit trying to read something evil into their existance. In their haste to liberate the Iraqis with "shock and awe"(kill 'em so we can liberate 'em) the Americans either killed or drove off the original bearers of these weapons. That the weapons were there is at least partly the fault of the U.S.

Hey Percy, See this, this is what you call Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Yes these could be used against us in Irag, But this is not what our troops and civilians are dying for.

ya know percy.......... this picture is so telling. Kinda glad ya posted it. What it says is that it takes the US military in abundance to "threaten" ONE human being. It tells of how provocative for aggression the US is. It also indicates how much power OBL has over the US , it's population , and of course all those military guns and ammo. It reveals how much you all have ELEVATED this ragmuffin terrorist into mytical proportions and playing into HIS hand. Cannot believe the stupidiy of such pics.--------

Stupidity? I thought it was funny. Whoever captioned it won a big prize. You should look at the entire context - it's a caption contest, for crying out loud! You just used the binoculars. Tsk, tsk.

You posted the photo here (and not in the Fun & Games Forum) so you can't complain when we understand that it is a communication you agree with, Percival.

But, it does show the American mania for weaponry, and the drawback to that mind set.

It doesn't matter how many two billion dollar aircraft you have. It takes a few good men, with working brains undeluded by political cant, working with (not against or in competition with ) local governments, to “catchee monkee.”

That is, always assuming Your Monkey Boy wants him caught.

After all, every Big Brother needs an Emmanuel Goldstein, to be the focus of the Two Minutes Hate.

Aw now, momsy - they got a lot of fine people working on this - and it's hard work - but I have Faith, my Faith tells me what's right, and September 11th taught us everything we need to know - that it's hard work - but it's a worthwhile goal, because my Faith tells me it is - and having Faith is a lot of work - hard work. And we will persevere - until the Mission Is Accomplished - but did I mention that it will be a lot of hard work?

There's a picture of Rumsfeld shaking Saddam's hand.
There's a picture of Osama with the Afghanistan Northern Alliance near CIA agents bringing weapons to fight the Russians.

There's a picture of America fighting Japan and Germany and Britain.

There's no picture of America ever fighting the French.

There 's a picture of most powers shifting alliances over time, once enemies, now partners, and once partners, now enemies.

There's a picture of the world so righteously intelligent about the Palestinians, but ignorant for decades since WWI about the Kurds and for such ignorance has no equal passion for them.

It is passion that appears to inform most of our arguments rather than logic.

There are two thundering herds in this world and most people like sheep really believe they are independent thinkers.

Sheep make the decision to follow the leader.
