Not wanting something that is not really useful and causes much environmental and human damage does not constitute hatred.
Not necessarily, but in the case of rightards who think any variation on what the world was like back when is an attack on everything that's right and decent. . .

This is real simple. Don't like electric cars? Don't buy one. Think you can get your head around that?

I seriously thought of electric last time I bought a car. But I didn't go there, mostly because the range was too low and the infrastructure too thin. Next time I buy a car, I'll consider the same factors.

So, yeah, I guess in the end I really am part of the Great Big EEE-vil Plot to Destroy America!"

By 2035, if you believe our glorious leader, we won't have a choice. All cars sold will need to be electric.

I don't believe your glorious leader. If you do, you're stupid.

All cars sold since, what, 1996, are required to run on unleaded gas. Was that a violations of your precious retarded notion of your rights?

Can you show me where I mentioned anything about anybody's rights in this thread? I just pointed out that the official government position in Canada is that they intend to phase out ICE by 2035.

Now to your argument, if I recall right, by switching to unleaded gas, you could still put the gas in your existing car designed for leaded gas and it would still run. And you could still buy an older car designed for leaded gas and driven it. And you could also have sold your old car designed for leaded gas on the open market. None of that is possible by the current government's plan which I do agree is unlikely but it is what is their current policy.

And finally, you seem to enjoy peppering responses to me with colourful metaphors and insults. While that can be perfectly acceptable in response to an insult in your direction, it is kind of unwelcome otherwise.

So you think one should just shut up about government policies one does not agree with? Let the government do what it's going to do?
I think one should either shut up or do something more effective than sharing one's OUTRAGE with a group the large majority of whom are already similarly OUTRAGED, and the small minority of whom one will not sway.

We have Prius Prime ordered. Currently about 80%of my wife's driving can be done on the battery and the gas engine will cover the rest. But, we also have two trucks, one gas and one diesel. So when we want to go someplace we don't have to spend hours waiting for a charge.
