I gotta wonder if the SEC will step in and halt trading... The price rising so dramatically on zero news reeks of manipulation.

Tesla will be added to all the major indexes.

Institutional buyers will have to buy it then.

That is highly unlikely. Speculators maybe but not institutional.

In my opinion, it would be the big institutions that want to put a stop to the short sellers knocking the price too low... The speculators would have to be some kind of special stupid to be buying at this price, let alone any amount over $50.

Maybe, but I just don't see pension plans buying into this kind of Speculation on a big scale. Especially government pensions. I too have been wondering when there will be a stop put on trades.
It would be extremely funny to see some serious peepee slapping over price manipulation.
