According to what I heard on C.B.C. news in the last minute, addiction to electronic video games is deemed to be a valid mental illness. Should the manufacturers, vendors, etc. be charged in criminal or civil court?

Since when is an addiction considered a mental illness? Is the CBC implying then, that millions of people who are addicted to their cell phones are mentally ill?

Probably in a mild way. We are all a little eccentric!

Having absolutely no expertise in matters medical I would guess not having very good self control MIGHT be a symptom of mental problems or may put some people at risk.
