Are you actually interested? OK, here's the deal. . .

After decades of forcing people who simply cannot abide the fact that some folk see things differently to use weasel-words like "the Black community" where once they used the simple "niggers," we are at the point where codewording and dog-whistling are an art in and of themselves.

Donald Trump promises a return to the fantasy land of Happy Days, when men were in charge, women baked a lot, Black and Brown people didn't exist, everybody was heterosexual (though the females were reluctant and had to be pushed into it), the only "ethnic" was that funny little Japanese guy who ran the diner, And he has made it clear that he understands full well what that will take. . . White supremacy, and the will (and laws) to allow it.

Biden is a "conservative Democrat" who has liberalized his views as a way to get elected. On the upside, he is a professional politician, and prefers a "quiet, normal life" for one and all, pushed into being Santa with money we don't have as a tactic in his heroic effort to keep the country on a somewhat even keel.
There are two extremes, and they seem to be the only ones allowed to touch the controls.
It must be pretty lonely in the middle down there.

I remember clearly that in 1980, good, honest, well-intentioned Americans quite seriously, and with great concern, asked whether a man who had been divorced was morally fit to be President.

Heh-heh. We were so naive. . .

You must be awful desperate for friends to hang with turdOWE supporters.
I'm sure that made sense in your head.
From a Canadian perspective, it does. Traditionally, the Democrats have been roughly the equivalent of our Conservatives. The Republicans being considered right wingish. While our left, that being the Liberals and worse have been left field to out of the ballpark. Now, the Dems have shifted to be as far left of reality as our left, and sometimes worse. This might be partly the result of a 2 party system, while we have other parties on both sides to accommodate the extremists. Even our Liberal party has shifted from being tolerable to out of touch.

Meh, it's like being a passenger on a train. Hundreds of people on board, but only a couple of guys who can actually make decisions.
Unlike turdOWE supporters that doubled down on stupid and cut off both.
Except that the people running the train have some qualifications for the job. Having the money to buy votes and a thick skin does not make one qualified to be Prez.

Nope , I don’t let politics define me . But the people I referred to are generally right of center . They do however get their news from all the wrong sources . 100% negative coverage leaves its mark .

Your Liberals do seem kinda crazy-ass lefty from my perspective. I've heard it said that the U.S. has a center-right party (Dems) and a far-right party (Reps). A long look at our "peer countries" seems to bear that out.

They are progressive, but the underlying class structure is roughly the same as the Conservatives here. They're both neoliberal, capitalist entities.
