In Alberta drivers treat cross walks as a free hit zone- walking across they - Driver making a left or right turn across a cross walk zone- drivers have the habit of pulling right up to the cross walk trying to get the pedestrian to move faster. Downtown is horrible for that.

It's not just Alberta. I've seen it everywhere I've ever gone. The scariest was Fort St John... I hated trying to cross their main street when we lived there, we'd almost always have to peek around the car that stopped for us to wait for the rest of traffic to catch on.

Or you could just step out and hope that car didn't hit you to hard... becoming one of Canada's newest millionaires..

Pedestrians have the right away, period there is no excuse for ignorant or rude drivers.. My steel toe shoes make and awfully big dent.

Both in their car, and in their face if they have the balls to stop.

I live in chronic pain, I don't need to add to it, and I certainly don't need to be a douche bag and put myself and others intentionally at risk looking for a score, or to make a point. lol.

AB has a soft tissue limit- so back, neck and such pain can go on for a long time- and the max is about 4 K. Mine was 30 months of Physio- headaches - 24 hrs a day- every heart beat my head went thump- for 26 months before they started to subside. And that was just the headaches.

Really, just $4,000??? You sure about that??

Maybe $400,000 would sound more logical. I guess something can be said for the American justice system after all.

Yeah really, they are using their vehicle as a weaponry..

Which brings up the question, if you run over your spouse with a car and kill him/her it's just vehicular manslaughter and maybe 5 years in prison, however if you shoot your spouse killing them it's likely life in prison.. hummm

You have to be careful about shooting your spouse. If you can take them out hunting and get them in the proximity of a deer (moose or elk work too) and just happen to miss deer or are able to get them both lined up (the deer in front) you'll probably get away with it.
