It's probably nothing...

Alarm after vomiting passenger dies on flight from Nigeria to JFK

A plane from Nigeria landed at JFK Airport Thursday with a male passenger aboard who had died during the flight after a fit of vomiting — and CDC officials conducted a “cursory” exam before announcing there was no Ebola and turning the corpse over to Port Authority cops to remove, Rep. Peter King said on Thursday.

The congressman was so alarmed by the incident — and by what he and employees see as troubling Ebola vulnerabilities at JFK — that he fired off a letter to the federal Department of Homeland Security demanding more training and tougher protocols for handling possible cases there.

It's Probably Nothing

SO I'VE HEARD SOME SPECULATION that the reason Obama jumped on this issue all of a sudden is that they now expect the Ebola outbreak to get worse in the U.S. Ebola in the Big Apple? CDC tells NYC to get ready.

Possibly nothing, too.

nope and nobody has a clue.

Well, I'd say, technically, we both have a clue.

Unfortunately neither one of us is in a position to do much about it. :(

Unless, wait, you're not the PM are you? :)

No.

Okay, neither one of us is in the position to do much about it. :(

This Ebola is some concerning stuff. Dude on a plane from Africa to
Dallas and then a health care worker flies to Ohio and everyone in a
bridal shop she then visits....& and everyone she came into contact
with since her fever....& this one made the news. How many others
are on the QT?

My Girlfriend works for Canada Post. Mail (like money) is dirty at best.

Back when Anthrax was the popular panic of the day, we had a couple
of scares here locally (thankfully neither panned out) but still lead to
building lock downs and employee strip downs with their coworkers
in a naked group for multiple chemical showers, ect.....

Ebola can only exist outside of a host (like on a doorknob or a counter top)
for for several hours, however as a body fluid (like a licked envelop) it can
survive for several days at room temperature. Luckily winter is coming, I
guess.

Associate comes into my office the other day who works at a different site. I had a cheque I needed sent over so I asked him if he'd mind dropping it off. I go to steal the envelope, reaching for a glue stick and he kind of laughs at me.

I told him until they make the envelope glue bourbon flavoured, I was going to continue to use my glue stick.

Who knew I was also doing my part in stemming the spread of Ebola.

:D
