Happy Birthday to some of those environmentalists that hold shares in the companies that pollute so they can make more money for the cause.

Guess if you are really dedicated to creating a richer greener Earth you must be ready to commit the ultimate sacrifice for her. Along with not having children, pay a visit to Dr. Jack Kevorkian to complete your promise to mother Earth.
Should We Stop Having Children to Save the Earth?

by Jennifer Lance

One of my friends has a bumper sticker on her car that reads, “Thank you for not breeding.” Every time I read it, I feel a pang of guilt that I have two children. I know that children in developed countries, especially Americans, use up for more resources than children around the world. The statistics are staggering when comparing children’s footprints across the globe, which causes many environmentalists to suggest that not having children may be the single most important thing you do for the environment. As a mother of two, this is a hard pill to swallow, and I try to convince myself that my children will be part of the solution since they are raised with green family values.

Happy earth day to our earth, our home, our life support,
if we didn't have this earth, where would we be, we have
a life because of our earth, we have families because of our
earth, we have 'everything' because of our earth.

I think we should stop having children because it's unfair to those children. I've thought a lot about it, and I've decided that the world as it stands right now is too bad to force another human being to be in it.

Kind of nihilistic, I know, but true.

With that said, which doesn't take away from my positive attitude toward a special day like Earth Day, Happy Earth Day everyone.

Like always, I hope things get better.

If you are truly a believer, you would gather all who believe like you and go to Niagara falls have a beautiful ceremony and remove any chance to mother Earth that you would have children. They say the fall is mesmerizing. Mother Earth would be happy again. Think again my friend being that we all have opinion/choices, it is not yours or mine to make. Have children as many as you want or can afford, they and their children will be the ones who decide the fate of our Earth.

Responsible and decent people always do their best to keep the Earth clean 365 days each and every year.

Those who are inclined to do so only by their words and not their deeds, need ONE day, designated in a stunningly phony manner, as EARTH DAY!

Hypocrisy at its best!

Don't associate death with non-existance. In fact, there being so much death or potential death (think of war) in the world is a major reason why children shouldn't be brought into the world.

I don't think it's a matter of not ever using fossil fuels again, but rather the size of the carbon footprint a person leaves behind. For all we know, Obama may be planting trees somewhere to reduce his carbon footprint.

This calling someone a hypocrite every time that ride in a plane stuff isn't logical.

On the tax issue, as someone who just filed their taxes, I know the provisions of the Recovery and Reinvestment Act (the stimulus) did reduce my taxes.

Flying TWO jumbo jets 250 miles is not only hypocritical, it is a crime, as far as carbon footprint is concerned. Have these wastrels, with all their SUV's ever heard of DRIVING?

The Recovery and Reinvestment Act may have reduced your taxes, but it was, if not the entire reason, at least the biggest reason for the financial melt down, popularly blamed on G. W. Bush, conveniently forgetting that it was signed into law by Clinton and enforced, after 2006 by Democrat Congressman Barney Franks and Senator Chris Dodd.

Kool-aid would be easier... Lord knows that the eco-faithful have been chugging it down for years now.

What I'm talking about is the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which was passed by Congress and signed by Pres. Obama in Feb. 2009. It has about 25 seperate tax cuts in it.

In observance of the special day I have suspended my eco-interference for the rest of the shift. Planting plowing and clearing will continue tomorrow, there will be overtime.
