Why people want to crack down on vaping is beyond me. Some Anti-smokers have become so rabid they do not see the harm they are doing trying to crack down on what is finally an alternative to smoking. I have sat next to people vaping and outside of it being a curiosity I can hardly notice. It is helping people quit so let them be IMO.

Nicotine addiction is so hard to break.

Her asthma is gone and skin is tighter. It only took a week to get rid of the slight wheeze.

Cold turkey. It sounds delicious but wasn't. I just got fed up and decided enough was enough. Once past day 5 it was pretty easy from there on.

If you still smoke start vaping. The money saved and better health is well worth it.
wow, big difference fast....that's great for her and for you too

I don't smoke any longer either. Like you I got tired of being a slave to it. I did use Xanax to quit although I had a reaction to the drug so quit taking it after three weeks.

I had little to no trouble to stop smoking which was a huge shock for me.

Haven't smoked for years now. One of my girlfriends still smokes around 8 or so a day. I am going to encourage the vaping a bit more.

Wrong move.
(oh wait I'm not supposed to criticize my dear leader)

Genius!

Genius move!

E-cigarette use to be restricted, flavoured tobacco to be banned in Ontario

The law, which will be introduced on Monday, will effectively ban e-cigarettes wherever smoking is already prohibited. They will also be banned for anyone under 19 from buying, just as cigarettes are currently treated.

The law is also expected to ban flavoured tobacco products, which are especially popular with young people. As well, menthol cigarettes will be eventually phased out.

More business for those border stores then.

A cup of hot chocolate per day is supposed to do wonders for certain areas of the brain. That was a pretty recent article, anybody else see it, the 'cure' doesn't get any easier and I assume that the 30 or 90 days the program was to run means that is the length of that 'habit' and then the 'fix is much longer lasting'.

Scientists at Harvard Medical School suggest drinking two cups of hot chocolate a day may keep the brain healthy and prevent memory decline in older people by preserving blood flow in working areas of the brain.

Nicotine withdrawals SUCK bad.

After that last dose you are good for a little bit. Then the tug starts...

"Hey.......... hey.............hey it's your brain talking............................... I need a hit.................. c'mon............ i need a hit to feel normal again."

Day 2 your brain is like........

"No F*ing WAY................ don't even think about quitting!........................ I need this now........................ one dip........................you really want to go through this!.........................hey!..... I won't be ignored!.................... I can't believe you're doing this!"

I used Zyban to quit 9 years ago. I loved it. It keeps the brain from getting the enjoyment from the nicotine while you're still smoking. So you start to wonder why you're smoking since it's not doing anything for you. I smoked for 19yrs before quitting and attempted one other time to quit.

I have no cravings to this day. My husband still smokes. Hasn't been able to quit using the patch or the e-cigarette. His smoking should cause triggers, but it doesn't.

It will be interesting to learn just what that kind of vapour will do to a lung in the short term and in the long term.

Any type of particulate that's introduced to the lung regularily and repetatively causes damage.

That seems to me to be the problem of the person choosing to inhale. The science indicates that thesidestream smoke from e-cigs is orders of magnitude less harmful than combustion cigarettes, and the law is such that non-smokers wouldn't be subject to it anyways.

Seems like a solution in search of a problem.

Again, brought to you by the hand-wringers who just want to keep us all safe.

I read an article from a Doc stating that we should do whatever we can to promote the ecigs as the real deal is far worse. We should not discourage their use in bars etc. I don't know if I mentioned this in this thread but a guy was using an ecig next to me at a bar and if anything it was a curiosity. There was no smoke or stench... its vapor.

The downfall I see is that you are STILL addicted to nicotine.

That's a downfall all right. But, as you said, a lot better position to be in from a health perspective.
