Of the many thousands of Gov't bureaucrats surely to Christ there is one that could be sent up with a couple of $million and make sure it is put to good use with something to show for it. The water supply might be a place to start, but that's for an expert to figure out!

Good idea. We'll hire a firm of experts to do a study and report. Should be ready in three years or so.

Let's make the budget for the study. . . oh, ten million or so?

He's not wrong in the case of Attawapiskat. The thing that really bothers me though, is from 2006-2011, Attawapiskat hauled in around a half billion dollars from all sources and seems to have nothing to show for it.
They did stuff like tear down their school, (it really did need to be replaced though, it was a mess) but instead of replacing it, built a new arena, paid $150,000 to have a Zamboni shipped up there, and then started whining about how they didn't even have a proper school.


Pete is also correct in that too many Chiefs are using their people as political pawns instead of actually worrying about their well being. Instead they run their communities like their own personal little fiefdoms where your well being is entirely dependent on your status with the Chief and Elders.

The people who raked in the funds didn't share the loot. That's the fault of the greedy - not everyone else. Unrestricted self government is never a good thing when wealth and power is all that matters

I don't think we need a study. I think we need a Royal Commission (perhaps to determine if we need a study as well).

I'll put in a proposal for a study on whether y'all need a Royal Commission to commission a study.
