I have noticed that the media people say whatever comes into their heads. Much of the professionalism is gone. They speak their mind on air, and are rarely held accountable. And I am not talking about the opinion sections. I am referring to news readers. They are supposed to read the news and keep their personal opinions to themselves.
The legal definition of slander differs slightly when talking about celebrities though. This includes politicians as well. They usually get away with it.
There are examples of left and right leaning media types doing this, but the one that aggravates me the most is Jake Tapper. Okay, so you don't like Trump. Remember that he is the president of the United States. Do your job without all the whining, rude interruptions and accusations. Quite a piece of work, he is.

The guy needs graphs, pictures, popup books, time outs....golf trips in the backyard...ego massages which is why he likes authoritarian leaders....they love him btw....takes one to know one.
there is no such thing as journalistic integrity. Half the news still calls it a 'muslim' ban when its not banning muslims. Words don't have any meaning anymore. I refuse to listen to the news because it sounds like the 'reader' is desperate for you to feel as they do about whatever news item they are reporting on. It's horrific.
I like Jake Tapper.
....and he is doing his job.

but this muslim ban they talk about isn't a muslim ban. It's a people of specific countries ban. Saudi muslims can travel as they like. A yemen christian can't.

I have no idea. I figure trumps trying to keep muslims out, without pissing of his partners in business. Maybe its to keep his supporters happy? Make a name for himself? Maybe the saudi told him to?
