I've encountered a few South African doctors over the years, found them much like most others. "Rate your M.D." is a very good site, but you have to remember you are just getting layman's opinions. Some people want someone to hold their hand for them 24-7, so you don't expect glowing praises from people who tend to "swing the lead" and the doctor picks up on it.

How many times did he get his friends to rate him well on the web while slamming the other. If you trust the world pipe with your life, you're nuts.

In rural areas, Dr's who hand out opiates and bennys will get stellar ratings.

I thought I was pretty cynical, but you have me beat. I haven't aways lived in small towns since I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I doubt that my doctor even know about the rate doctor site, he is a busy man, with practice and a young family.
