I would not presume to tell you how to run your elections. Britain being a democracy, one must presume it is as the people want it to be. Or at least that they don't care enough to change it.

How can we change it? Considering that FPTP benefits the Big Two - Tories and Labour - do you think a Government of either blue or red is going to want to change it and let Farage's party become the third biggest in the Commons?

Convince people that Reform is better than Labour or the Tories.

You really don't know how democracies work? What age are you?

Here's a hint. . . one whingy little bastard in Bolt-on don't get his way unless he can get a whole shitload of folk to agree with him.

You're an idiot.

The British people thought Reform were better than the Lib Dumbs but the Lib Dumbs got 72 seats - their most in 100 years - and Reform got 5.

The system is set up to benefit the Big Three - Tories, Liebour, Lib Dumbs. And as we always nowadays have a Labour or Tory Government - except 2010 to 2015 when we had a Tory/Lib Dem Coalition - that's not going to change.

Starmer calling us all Far Right is only going to kick off more riots.

The people want Islam and Labour out!

The Government can end this tomorrow by giving the protesters what they want. If they don't then things may escalate further...

You say that like it's a BAD thing!

In point of fact, "the British people" voted overwhelmingly for Labour and the Tories. The LibDumbs and the Nazis together got a relative handful of votes.

So give up and quit whinging.

Reform got 4,117,221 votes and 5 seats.

Liberal Democrats got 3,519,199 votes and got 72 seats.

Seems like the system is set up to let the Establishment Big Three in but keep the likes of Reform out.

That is not democracy. It's rigged.

So? Reform should now have the third largest number of MPs after Labour and the Tories. They are the country's third biggest party in vote share. If Britain used the same system as used in most of Continental Europe Reform would now have around 100 MPs in the Commons.

Shame the UK runs on the laws passed by Parliament, and not on your idiot opinion.

So I'm an idiot in wanting Proportion Represention?
No, you're an idiot in thinking your opinion is the only and inevitable TROOF!

I'm actually sympathetic. I like the idea of the popular vote in the relevant constituency ruling the day.

But that ain't how it is, on your side of the Pond nor on mine.

How the Commons would look now after the 2024 Election if Britain had Proportional Represention (which they have in most of the rest of Europe and which Reform want).

The Lib Dems would actually have had more seats, but would still be behind Reform.

Labour: 236 seats
Conservatives: 157
Reform: 94
Liberal Democrats: 77

To see the other parties: https://www.electoral-reform.org.uk...have-looked-with-proportional-representation/

Fun fact: In the U.S., ALL elections are state elections.

Senators are elected state-by-state, by popular vote.

Representatives (sometimes called Congressmen/Congresswomen) are elected by district. No district crosses state borders.

When one votes for President, one is not voting for Trump or Harris. One is voting for an elector the state will send to the Electoral College. The Electoral College elects the President.
